With 80 odd days to go I’ve just woken up in a panic what on earth am I going to wear on the morning of the wedding to get ready in???
I don’t know why but its only just occurred to me that not only are people going to be in and out of my room more than a train station in rush hour but I’m also going to be photographed in whatever I’m wearing.
Then there's the other thing of sock and bra strap marks if I’m in normal clothes whilst I get ready :0S why have I not thought of this until now?
Help!! What does everyone else plan to wear on the morning of the wedding whilst they get ready??

Wear a strapless bra & flip flops (no sock marks) & perhaps order (if you have time) a nice personalised slouch top or dressing gown or something? That's what I plan to do & will be getting my BMs the same xx

Strapless bra, no socks! or trainer socks with lotsa moisturiser on the feet and legs. I would suggest to all ladies that you wear a top that does not require pulling over the head to take off or risk ruining your hair and makeup! A button up shirt will do, a short sleeve one at that, amazing how hot you can get with all the adrenaline and also people running around you generating a lot of heat! Just speaking from experience of my sister's wedding.

Good point ID, never thought of getting hot (so dressing gowns are a no, no .. unless I get thin ones) & never thought about something going over my hair & makeup! Thanks for that :) xx

Lol - sometimes unless you've experienced a similar situation you wouldn't think of it or know. I was my sister's BM. I was wearing a zip up fleece top (it was an early April wedding) over a strapless bra and had my PJ bottoms on. Being a BM and her MOH I was running around like crazy, getting all hot and bothered .......................I couldn't take the darn top off! Because my dad and male cousin were hanging around! Was not a man free zone at all! I couldn't just strip and run around the room (we stayed at the venue the night before) in just my strapless bra! So this time round I know to wear a short sleeve cotton shirt lol! I'll be suggesting my sister and best mate do the same!

thanks girls the crazy things you suddenly think of when trying to sleep! I had totally forgotten about the hair/make up and men hazzards i should have thought about that as my photog is of the male persausion!! maybe i need to put MOH on door duty lol!

I was thinking shorts and vest top (can be taken off over hips instead of head!) And one of the silky gowns - can get them off the bay with bride/bridesmaid on.. x

I wore a 'bride' tracksuit that had a zip up front with my wedding underwear underneath it. Defo don't wear something that needs to go over your head, you'll ruin your hair!!!

id not even thought of this, im not geting married til 4 either. think i might just slob about in my pjs til i have to get dressed. though il make sure my pj top is button up and not over the head...!

I love mooching around in pjs so thats what it shall be. then lose fitting strap top - either just plain or perhaps customised with the ever so unoriginal BRIDE / BRIDESMAID etc on it! That way straps can be lose, or not worn, just tucked into bra. we shall see. Defo wearing wedding undies underneath! x

I'll be wearing a strapless bra (paranoid about strap marks lol), a top that's easy to get on and off once my hair's done (either something that buttons through, or else something like a stretchy vest-top that I can stretch over it, then tracksuit bottoms, and slippers (don't want marks from socks, which I usually wear). Also toying with the idea of investing in a white dressing gown with 'bride' on the back, but not sure yet!

i have bought myself, my mum and all my bridesmaids loose vest tops (that can be took off over the hips or as they are loose can go over the head) and i have bought some diamante transfers to iron on that say bride/bridesmaid/mother of the bride going to get some cheap pj bottoms to wear with them x

I've been thinking about this alot recently, was thinking about getting the bridesmaids a thin pink cotton dressing gown each, and me a white one, and I'll probably just wear my slippers :) wedding underwear underneath to make sure no marks :) don't want any tan being rubbed away!

A strapless bra will do well, also get a personalized or plain dressing gown. Also wear flip flops or even slippers.
