Because of who wrote and his political leanings the "Traditional Bridal March" it was never even a consideration for us.

My bridesmaids will be piped in and then I'll walk down the aisle to "All You Need Is Love".

We're walking back out to "It Must Be Love" by Madness.

I would LOVE to walk down to Suddenly, by Angry Anderson aka Neighbours. I know it is MEGA cheesy but I am a HUGE neighbours geek and everyone who knows me would get it. However H2B has put his foot down and said no! he takes all this wedding business very seriously....... he said I can put it on the video though.

so it will be something on the pipes, maybe Ode to Joy or something cause its happy and bouncy

my friend had a civil ceremony and had here comes the bride. Therefore it can be done. Dont hate me for saying this but I cant stand that song. I dont know why either it just goes through me. Im not breaking away from tradition too much as i seem to be joining a new tradition which is to walk down to pachelbels canon and have hired a SQ as the acoustics will be amazing in the venue. it will all fit beautifully but I may change the music to another classical piece. Not having queen of sheeba as although this is nice, I know what my family will say haha

cant wait to be Mrs Evans less than 3 weeks woooo
    start weight 10st 1.5 lbs

You can have pretty much anything you like as long as it isn't religious. If you want to walk down the aisle to D.I.V.O.R.C.E. I believe you can.

"Here Comes the Bride" (or the Bridal Chorus from Lohengrin, to give it its proper name) is not a religious piece of music, so you can have that in a civil ceremony, and you can also have Mendelssohn's Wedding March for exit music. What you couldn't have is anything like Ave Maria, Hallelujah chorus etc.

I will be walking in to La Rejouissance from the Royal Fireworks music. I thought about the Bridal Chorus but found it a bit cheesy, and I can't stand Pachelbel, so that's coming nowhere near my wedding!

If you were looking at metallica but maybe wanted something a bit more classical sounding, it may be worth you looking up apocolyptica. We have bought one of their albums and will be using nothing else matters and fade to black while signing the register.

Thanks Kat, it's one of my fave songs and it's so special having my Godson play it, he's my cousins son and his sisters are bridesmaid and flower girl, he's an awesome guitarist and I found a version on you tube that I love, looks really hard though. We had the same problem to be honest and listened to tons of songs, some sounded nice without lyrics but the lyrics tend to stick in your head and he suggested "Here Comes the Sun" also by the Beatles (I'm a HUGE Beatles fan) and then thought, hang on what about my favourite? I initially wanted it played after the ceremony but I think it's going to sound great and really is what it's all about...all you do need is love, the rest is just a bonus, it's love that gets you there. x
