Just trying to work out a budgeted price really? Have used the quote option but as of yet no responses at all. So, what have you gone for and what kind of price have you paid?
Think we will be going for a 3 tier cake with 3 diff flavors. Chocolate, Vanilla and Lemon probably.

We had a few people offer to make us a cake so we have decided to have a 'bring and share' cake table; costs us nothing and saves arguements between relatives! x

We are having 3 cakes, one is a cupcake cake that h2b's mum is making us so it's free. One is a pork pie cake which will cost £150 and the other is a cheese and crackers cake which is 160 pounds. xx

This is my three tier cake, it's a 6" 8" and 10" of one layer lemon cake, one layer carrot cake,one layer chocolate fudge brownie cake.... We got ours priced at £245 but the prices we got ranged from £200-£350 so a big difference, we went for one in the middle because we tasted her cake and it tasted just as good as the top quote of £350 but she's not as well established yet x

For £290 we are getting this cake, three tiers to feed 120-150 people with Fruit as the bottom tier and the other two sponge (we haven't decided what flavours yet) xxx

i think my cake is going to be approx £500 but that's because I'm being awkard and want something nerdy :D

We're having a 4 tier cake to serve 100, with 2 plain tiers, and two 'embellished' (? One has dots; the other has a hand-done lace'style design) tiers, with ribbons and brooches round two of the tiers, in ivory shimmer icing, plus a cutting cake to serve 40 (all different flavours), and it's costing £420. Pretty pleased with the price for what we're getting, as we get 140 servings, the cake is beautiful, and it's delicious.
I got quotes from a few different people at wedding fayres, and all of them were in the £400-450 region for a 4 tier cake serving 100-120.

I want a 3 tier cake withone layer chocolate sponge with an orange flavoured buttercream/fondant filling another layer red velvet and another lemon or vanilla sponge. I also want h2b to have a groom's cake so he can have whatever he wants as I know I will make most decisions xx

we're having a 2 tier 'naked' cake. I really want an iced one but hubby hates icing, and tbh i'm not that keen either - i just think they look prettier. But it's his only request for the wedding so i guess i should honour it as he's pretty much giving me free reign on everything else xx

I'm having a 4 tier cake. 2 tiers chocolate orange, 1 white chocolate & raspberry and the top blue velvet. One of my lovely friends who is an amazing cake maker is doing it for me at a discounted price. :)

I am having a four tier cake, bottom victoria sponge, then chocolate, then lemon, then the top tier (not my choice at all) is banana!! Its costing about £240 including delivery and set up. Its having plain white icing with dimante ribbon around 2 layers and pearl dragees around the other 2 layers. THe person who is doing my cake does them professionally but has only just started and only done 2 before, she asked me to speak to other cake ladies to see what they were charging and one lady for the same design but only 3 layers and all layers the same flavour wanted £475!!!
