I'm English. My Daughter was born in Ireland & H2B & his children are all Norwegian so we are having a 3 course, 3 country menu.

    Welcome drinks: Non-alcoholic cocktails

Irish Starter: Homemade vegetable and barley soup with soda bread

Norwegian Main Course: Norwegian style pork loin, Logonberry gravy, seasonal root vegetables, potatoes, saurkal & rodkal (white and red sauerkraut but its nothing like the eastern european stuff this is sweet & gorgeous)

1 bottle of Red & White wine, 1 Jug Fruit Juice & 1 bottle sparkling mineral water per table of 10 persons
1 glass of bucks fizz per person for toast

English Pudding: Bread & Butter Pudding with custard (or fruit salad)

We have veggie, halal, low carb, gluten free and diabetic to find alternatives for but Ches my chef is a star - hope you have all remembered to ask your guests about any special dietary requirements!

£30 per head inc drinks (cheapest package should have been £26.95 food & £13.50 drinks, left out coffee & mints, having Cava not champagne and house wine - its worth talking to your venue - 113 guests is £3390 as opposed to £4570.85 saving £1180.85)

Evening buffet will be a hot mixed buffet
because we left it with chefs choice of dishes and without deserts, just having our cake - 3 different tiers, fruit, chocolate & madeira we got a £2.55 per head discount so £5.95 per head, (190 = £1130.50 as opposed to £1615 saving £484.50)

and we had 5to put wedding dinner on our invites because the Norwegians didnt get the whole breakfast thing either!

We've got an initial menu of about 8 or 9 choices for each course (3 courses) and we have to narrow it down to 5 choices each course, then the guests can choose from that on the day. It's costing £23 per head and instead of drinks packages we're going to buy a few bottles of wine for the table (as there's only 20 of us and works out cheaper that way).

We haven't chosen yet but will be either the chicken or the pork. I want the pork, but the chicken is the crowd pleaser and we can only choose one menu for everyone. Definately not having the soup starter though - too paranoid that it will end up down my front and knowing my luck it would be tomato soup!

    Will prob be:

Salad (goats cheese) or pate or veg pate
    Pork fillet or the chicken
    Summer fruit tart
