    Hi all,
After a conversation with work pals today we were discussing what we are doing or did with the build up to the wedding. Many went on diets (me included) some got contact lenses instead of glasses and one had a tattoo removed as she didn't want it in pics!

Like mentioned I have kinda been healthy eating and the other main thing is I have been growing my hair and stopped dying it so it's my natural colour.

Have any of you guys changed habits or changed your looks?

I have been trying to eat healthy to lose some pounds my dress now fits nice , so im not overly worried, if i lose a few more fine if not meh.
The main change is i seem to have become more girly, thing i did not really care about or want to waste money on, I now care about, I had my brows done and am now booked in to have them done again £25 a pop for propper hd brows.
I have upped my skin care, washing, cleansing and moisturising my skin.
And now I also have learnt how to properly apply make up after 4 make up trials and lots of hints and tips from the make up artists and my friend.
Since the engagement I have been growing out my hair (3 long years) and is now near enough bum length with a couple more months to go, but will have to have a trim before the big day.
Nails, booked in to have my first nails in like 4 years? i won a voucher with the girl whos doing them for my big day but need to use by end of april , and can t really have nails/varnish for my work (in a school kitchen) so having them done after lunch my last day of work before the school holidays, to help them grow, and have been doing my best to oil the nails/cutticles to strengthen them before hand. and then having them done for my hen and the big day also.

Since getting engaged I have been getting my brows tinted and waxed every 4 weeks, stopped biting my nails altogether, have a manicure and gel colour every other month, get a lot more sleep, lost 2 stone in weight, do at least 2 gym classes every week, learnt how to eat healthily while travelling for work instead of using it as an excuse to eat whatever I fancy, have regular facials and face masks, have blonde highlights as my natural blonde was getting more and more dark, got contact lenses which I try and use a few times a month.
So er yes, quite a lot!

I am mainly wanting to loose weight I am a stone above what I want to be, so getting back to the gym is a must, I might get botox in my lips just to enhance them I don't mean go mad and have huge lips lol! I already have a monthly nail and brow apps, I get my hair done regularly, I like to go for massage and facials every so often to but I think closer to the wedding might get a facial more often and follow a strict skin care regime. xx

I am mainly wanting to lose weight but I am also starting to try and get into a better routine looking after my skin in preparation for the professional make up on the day. I will probably get highlights/lowlights put back in my hair much closer to the day but at the moment I'm not worrying about my hair too much. I'd also like to try and keep my nails in good nick so that I can leave them au natural on the day and have a french manicure :) they're normally quite long but some of them are really weak so end up breaking then they all end up different lengths!

I already wear both contact lenses and glasses but I think if I just wore glasses I would definitely consider getting contacts for the day x

I haven't started anything yet, but I probably should. I want to lose a little weight so about 3/2months before wedding will go on JP shakes and clean eat and I know that I will be the perfect size I want and makes you feel great too. I will also be taking the JP capsules everyday for 2 months to help my skin nails and hair look fab ! I do however really need to start drinking more water, water is amazing for skin and getting rid of toxins so I think that's the first step for me then start thinking about a better skin care routine.. im rubbish with anything like that, I have never been into looking after myself and pampering as such, my life has always been about where the next party or festival is and not much time for beauty regimes.... think will try out HD brows, if I can find someone who is good , bit worried they will look super awful. so many women out there with awful drawn on huge eyebrows these days. I have just ordered some amazing mascara that my friends sells.. it gives the look of false lashes without using false lashes, its just like normal mascara you can add on 1 layer to your normal mascara and more layers if you want a more full effect.. like from day to evening.. the results my friends have shown me have been amazing.. :)

im the same I bite them to the core... ouch... only way I have got round it was by having false ones put on at salon, then they grew underneath, so when took them off they long and I made sure I put strengthing varnish on and because I hadn't bitten them when fake it got me out of the habit of biting them too :) works for me anyway.. or could try the awful tasting nail dip they sell. you pop finger in and it gets covered with disgusting taste so it stops you from putting nails in mouth .

I lost 2 stone before xmas which I've managed to keep off, but I want to lose at least another stone ideally 2 before the wedding.
I also bite my nails, I've managed to grow my nails by painting them with clear nail varnish & instead of biting my nails I bite off the varnish then re apply lol. My nails are so weak though so I will be having false nails for the big day.
I asked my make up artist if I should be doing anything to get my skin in better shape, she said my skin is fine, the only thing she recommended was to exfoliate weekly which I already do.

H2B has been watching what he eats also & has taken up rock climbing, but that's more for our honeymoon rather than the wedding.

I'd like to lose a little weight and tone up.... I have my nails done (acrylic) every 3 weeks anyway. Nearer the time, I'll start going on the subbed, only once or twice a week just to have a base tan. I'm having a tattoo removed but it's a long process and I'm on my 3rd session..... I would like to say I will stop smoking but I enjoy it and feel I'm really gonna need it on my wedding morning.... Tut tut I know.... Lol x

Mines just to lose weight lol! I lost 2 stone back last year and then life got in the way and have put some back on - however my aim was to get into my dress and actually now its here it fits me perfectly already so mine would be maintaining what size i currently am haha! My nails are rubbish always biting them but that wont change so it will be fake ones on the day, apart from that I'm not too worried at the moment - stilol a way to go yet xx

I am thinking of trying contacts so I can wear those instead of my glasses. I feel a bit undecided about it though as have worn glasses since I was 7 and am worried I wont look or feel like me if I am not wearing them! But then I worry about the photos if I do wear my glasses although the photographer said its not a problem. Still I have a bit of time to decide!

MrsH2b.... I think if people are used to seeing you with glasses it may be a little strange without.... Your glassesa are art of you.

Im kind of the same. I have wore glasses for reading/driving,computers for about 5 years but recently im struggling without them and seem to wear them more often than not. I dont want to have them on on the day but not sure i will recognise people if i dont lol

I also bite the skin around my nails sometimes. I've got very small white tips atm so I'm desperate to keep them as I'll be having my nails done in like 13 days for the wedding! I'm actually gunna put some clear varnish on now I think while I can be bothered!

I've tried to lose weight but haven't really managed more than a few pounds unfortunately, but my dress fits just nicely and gives me a great figure so I don't mind too much. I'm a real tom boy and wearing a dress is something of a nightmare for me but I've bought myself a really nice dress for my hen do tonight and I've actually really started to enjoy trips to the dress shop. H2B is in for a real shock!

I've also been growing my hair and it's at a nice length now. I was going to do it myself or get one of my Sisters to do it for the wedding but I've decided to treat myself and let the hairdresser do it. My Sister is doing my nails and stuff for me.

I haven't got into the habit of looking after my skin though! I'm prone to a little bit of acne, but as long as I work really hard at remembering to use the face stuff over the next few weeks it should be fine :o)
