If anything, have you booked a certain car or venue? Are you having certain music (I'm having mostly metal) are you not wearing a "traditional" dress...how have you put your own stamp on your wedding be interesting to see what others are doing

We're having a half goth half steampunk half traditional wedding (yeah - work that one out!!) Black and red colours, he's all for steampunk, I'm more goth, I want some traditional and we both like metal music so we're not having too much cheese. I'm sure there were other things we're doing as well but I can't think right now!

We are having a traditional vintage wedding because we are vintage ourselves, lol. Stately home, Rolls Royces, Roses and all the typical English vintage wedding stuff. We're having a live band cos when I was a kid that's all you ever had at weddings, there was no such thing as disco. But I think what makes our wedding unique is that my son is best man, others sons grandsons and son in laws are ushers, daughters, daughter in laws and grandaughters are bridesmaids. It's all about our family and everyone of our offspring are in the wedding xxx

Having a Victorian Chirstmas wedding, with a santas grotto for adults and kids. Mince pies/roasted chestnuts/mulled wine while photos are taken. Some of our photos I want taken in the underground tunnels under the fort. Having a lady make us a christmas tree entirely out of sweets for our candy buffet. Want everything child friendly with a magician. a kids room and various other things. I dont want a stuffy wedding where people feel uncomfortable, I want a fun family event. xxx

were having a french vintage inspired wedding , lots of crysals, pearls, creams/ivorys and golds, with a string quartet, soul servers (singing waitors) an 8ft escort tree, an ice cream cart, a brand new rolls royce phantom as my wedding car in black, and then having drive way exploding lanterns (like off my best friends wedding) as we depart from the venue on our honey moon at 10pm, my son is either gonna give me away or i am gonna walk down on my own and we are having the rose ceremony, were having large flower centre peices and were not having any evening guests were just having all our guest all day, were having crouguet on the lawns with giant jenga and giant connect 4, were having butlers walking round at the night serving on silver trays bacon butties ....my sisters are bridesmaid and my god daughters are flower girls with everyone we love

We're having a harvest festival theme with carved pumpkins as part of the centrepieces and hopefully a hogroast/carvery for grub.

Your weddings all sound wonderful, really amazing ideas! But what is 'steampunk'? Please edumacate me! xx

Our uniqueness will be in our ceremony. I'm an eclectic Pagan whereas my h2b is a Protestant. We didn't want to have two weddings in addition to our registry, so we managed to merge the two together. A Pagan marriage is known as a Handfasting, which was the natural choice because we both want an outdoor wedding, and within it we're going to merge the beliefs. Basically, we'll be honouring the Holy Trinity from both sides ("Maiden Mother Crone" and "Father Son and Holy Spirit").
We've found an organisation that specialises in multi-faith handfastings and we're just waiting to hear if the Priest is available (the Priestess is) for our date.

Additionally, I'm wearing a non-traditional dress. I love faeries, so my gown is fae-inspired, without wings.

Our wedding is also going to be the most unique in my family as I come from an Indian family and no one has ever not had a traditional Hindu ceremony before. I'm breaking the mould!

We're having mostly traditional - but for transport we're having a camper van!! We're also just taking close family and 'running off' to Gretna Green. We're also doing everything backwards, so to speak - as we're getting married and having the reception on the same day, then three days later we go on honeymoon - then hopefully about three or four weeks later we're having our 'evening reception' for all our friends and family who didn't come to the wedding (and hopefully family from around the UK as well).

In all seriousness our wedding will be unique in the fact that its what we want for the day. In the past cousins that have got married have had nothing but rubbish from other family members and have jot had want they want due to pressure and I'm not doing it. I'm having who, where when I want and no one apart from our parents (and u guys) are seeing anything well the best mates are lol

We were going to have the Impala (from Supernatural) but that topic has been banned lol. I'm gonna just wait till H2B is engrossed on Dragon Age 2 when it comes out in March and ask him then if we can have the car from Ghostbusters (he'll be so engrossed in his new game he'll agree to anything haha)

Im a solitary Pagan and h2b is non-religious so we are having a non traditional ceremony.
Going back to our childhood we are having a sweetie theme, so the centrepieces are going to be old fashioned huge vases with different sweets inside each one (e.g. love hearts, jazzies, flying saucers, pink & white bon bons etc etc )
We are getting married in a hotel where my nan (who recently passed away) used to take me as a child, its a seaside town and the hotel is right across the road from the beach. So its all about childhood memories for us :D
And the photographer is going to take some pics near the beach :D

I think mines unique in itself Chelsea FC theme, my h2b is a fan and suppose its been drummed into my head aswell. I saw a dress i loved that funnily enough came in royal blue, which was great (A.A 1516) Although the wedding has the colours of CFC and my garter is chelsea one, and ther will be choc footballs for the kids, im steering away from the football theme for the centerpieces where im having mini wishing trees its doubles up as a centerpieces aswell as instead of a guest book. My cake topper is a bride with groom & little boy in chelsea kits under their suits also.

14th August 2010 Engaged to Mister Matthews 17th August 2012 I'll be Missus Matthews

our wedding is quite traditional, although my other half play in a band so when the older family has gone home and the reception starts we are having a dj for about half hr/hr then bands, so it will be some classic rock, modern rock, metal. then back to the dj after. only be a hour set, im sure h2b is only doing it as all his mates are in bands so theyu will all just jam and play together, everything from metallica to led zeplin. one of the bands plays modern pop rock like kings of leon and foo fighters with is more my kinda music, although i may request some nirvana cuz u cant beat abit of Mr cobain ;o)

i am on the whole more of a pop/rnb/dance chick but il get my groove on to anything haha.

    xxxxxxxxxx
