ps yoy'd be surprised. Bigger guys generally suit kilts better. Why not go with him to try a few on?

And remember its his day too. Would you be impressed if he said "I dont want you to wear an A-Line dress" if you had your heart set on one?

Men in kilts are sexy.. not sure about quilts though. heheee
Aww let him wear one if thats what he wants, its his day just as much as yours. You don't catch him asking to go dress shopping with you incase you pick a dress he doesn't like :-P He'll look hot! Make sure he doesn't wear pants lol

Lol & pmsl.... I did for a very brief second think that maybe he was thinking of wearing some kind of patchwork quilt... only for a brief second! Suggestion take him to try one on, on a very very cold day.... maybe he'll change his mind. LOL

yep, i think skinny skinny guys dont look as good as bigger guys in kilts. You need a good sturdy pair of legs to pull it off!

Yes I agree, 100% skinny guys in a kilt is a no go.. bigger guys look great in them! I think it will look brilliant, totally different to the usual tails (which my h2b is having)

    Well done hun!

Sabiibean, it's upto both what to wear so if your really not sure come to some sort of compromise. Maybe he can wear a kilt for the ceremony and a suit for the rest of the day??

Good luck though hun.. I'm sure you'll make the right decision :-D

Sabi my man is 6'1 and about 17stone at the mo. And he looks ACE in his kilt. So go try some on, try the various jackets like prince charlie or argyll, with and without a waistcoat. And i think you might just be blown away!!!!

only thing big guys dont really suit is the over the shoulder thingy, that really does make them look massive. But that is just my opinion.

Kilts look better on bigger and broader guys I think!

I love guys in kilts - think it's really smart. Dave doesn't think any scottish guy should be allowed to get married in anything but lol - and he is insisting on being a true scotsman :S

My h2b won't wear a kilt at our wedding as he is English and he doesn't think it would be right, but he would look fab in one even though he is a big guy, 6ft 2 and 17 stone, he has nice thick muscley calves that would look great. I have a couple of guests wearing them so at least I get a flavour of home at our wedding! :)

Find a store that provides them to try - The store my fella's kilts are coming from is a good example if your in the NW or willing to go to Stockport is the best option. If anyone wants this let me know.

my H2B isnt exactly a big bloke but he has a big belly lol he has never even tried a kilt on before and we personally thought it would look silly with his belly lol but... he went and tried 1 on, the full works and it does hide his tummy and he looked really good init, we booked it there and then but we arent telling anyone he is just turning up in church init.
i would suggest your H2B to go and try 1 on then decide, you might be suprised :)

21st October 2011 will be the best day of my life!!!
