    hello... just wondering what the average price everybody is paying for a wedding breakfast per head or based on or there abouts 100 people ? i just want to know whats average so i dont get ripped off :) thanks girls x

    think it depends where you are having it hun, ours is £80 per head, but this is only for food!! We are having it at a castle so is quite expensive!! have you looked at venues yet and got any prices? xxx

    not looked around yet but im going too, i want quite a standard 3 course meal nothing overly fancy and overpriced as we are budgeted. but still to be nice and affordable :) x

    We are paying £35 pp but that has been reduced from £65pp due to the credit crunch, we got in bang on time as they have now upped the prices again... phewwwww lol x x

    Ours is £32ph head for the meal, then £13.25pp for the drinks package and then £7.50 per head for the evening buffet. It's £16ph for children and childrens drinks package is £3!!! xx

    Our venue was is just across the road from our favourite take out place, they do pizzas and stuff like that so at one point we were only going to pay £2.50pp!

    Mine is £13 per head, 3 courses (Carvery so choice of meat, but not as formal).
    Children £6.50 for the Carvery or chicken nuggets etc are cheaper.

    We are buying our own booze and paying the corkage, getting much better quality at a cheaper price than theirs.

    Corkage Wine= £8 and we are buying at £5 a bottle
    Corkage Champagne= £11 and we are buying at £10 a bottle (reduced to £10 from £28 in tescos!!)

    This is in a hotel in Warwick. I feel quite please with myself after reading these prices ^^

    we're paying £28.95 for 2 courses, £9.95 for children! Drinks extra but they are charging us by the bottle rather than by the glass, which isnt too bad x

    Ours is £38 per head (plus VAT) and then the drinks package is around £20 oer head I think.

    How are people choosing what menu to have? It's so hard to pick something everyone will like :(

    we are paying £20 per head for 3 course meal with carvery for mains for 64 people, and £7 per head for buffet in the evening for up to 150 people. Our reception is being held in the function room of a local big country pub so they are really reasonable. xx

    I'm having the reception in my parents field in a marquee, the price is inclusive of cooking equipment and seated waitress service.
    For 100 people: choice of 6 canapes, 3 course sit down meal with a choice of two meat dishes and one vegetarian, followed by coffee. All comes to £40/ head.

    Ours is £23 per head - and that's a 3 course meal in the restaurant/hotel (and choice of 5 different dishes per course). We're not having an evening reception (straight into the hotel bar after the meal lol).

    Our's is costing us £49.00 per adult and £24.75 per child. it all depends on the type of venue your having, our is a country house hotel, you it's quiet big. but this price includes half a bottle of wine per person as well! I personally think we have got a good deal for the location! xx

    Bloomin eck GI, mine is £35pp which includes a 3 course meal, a drink on arrival, half a bottle of wine pp a glass of champagne to toast and our honeymoon suite!!!

    £100pp!!!!! I nearly passed out when I read that!!!

    Plus I cant believe so many of you are paying roughly the same as me JUST for the meal, then extra on top for drinks!!!!

    £50 per head for ours which include welcome drink package total 3 drinks per head doesn't matter if its alcohol or soft drink then £10.95 per head for evening buffet food only at night no drink guests will buy thier own x

    im not having a wedding breakfast but the places i have looked at have ranged between £20 and £50. they were at hotels. there was one that done a package for £70 per person and that included a drinks package, place name cards, tabble planner, table decorations and the evening buffet for those people xx

    ours is costing around £20pp for a 3 course meal,it should have been from £35p but we know the people who own the mansion where we're having thr reception so they're giving us a good discount. we will be putting wine on the tables, providing a welcome drink and champagne for the toast which we are buying ourselves and im pretty sure there is no corkage either! not bad... yey! x

    I had to work really hard, but we're getting silver service 3 course meal, canapes and drinks service, plus a fully serviced bar for £32 a head. I'm then hiring a local tea room to do the evening buffet at about £5.25 per head.

    Same as madcow...We're buying our own bottles and paying corkage, Corkage Wine= £8 and we are buying at £4 a bottle
    Corkage Champagne= £14 (our venue for Pinot Grigio £19pb (£4 in morrisons...lol) and for Reynier Brut £32pb)
    Sit down 3 course wedding breakfast £29 pp and children £14pp - ploughmans buffet for evening £9ph =)

    I am paying £18 per head for a BBQ with gorgeous breads and salads. The drinks package is £11 per head which is half bottle of wine per person and a glass of english sparkling wine for the toast. I have been told this is the more fashionable thing rather than french champagne and it is certainly cheaper!

    ours averages out at £31 per head for days guests only. However we have paid £5000 for our reception and this price includes our even buffet aswell, so cost per head is probably cheaper.

    Mine is costing me £28 per head but with the min of 60 people you get toastmaster, the room hire, enterance red carpet, table centre pieces, Bed and Breakfast for the Bride and Groom and special family rates for Rooms.

    Buffet is £5.50 per head and we are buying our own wine and gotta pay corkage which adds up to £500 xx

    wow some of these prices have really got me thinking.. although, were paying £65pp but thats including after ceremony drinks (sparkling wine, bucks fizz and kir royale), canapes, 1/2 bottle of red AND white pp during the meal, 3 course meal, unlimited soft drinks sparkling wine for toasts, tea and coffee. Anyone think that's too expensive? xx
