think it depends where you are having it hun, ours is £80 per head, but this is only for food!! We are having it at a castle so is quite expensive!! have you looked at venues yet and got any prices? xxx
CommentAuthorlala "mod" bunni
it varies so much depends on where. what you are having to eat etc
not looked around yet but im going too, i want quite a standard 3 course meal nothing overly fancy and overpriced as we are budgeted. but still to be nice and affordable :) x

We are paying £35 pp but that has been reduced from £65pp due to the credit crunch, we got in bang on time as they have now upped the prices again... phewwwww lol x x
Edited by me: That was the cheapest we could find in a venue that would hold the amount of guests we have for the day time
I can't believe we've actually done it
I am now Mrs Limara Tester

Mine is £13 per head, 3 courses (Carvery so choice of meat, but not as formal). Children £6.50 for the Carvery or chicken nuggets etc are cheaper.
We are buying our own booze and paying the corkage, getting much better quality at a cheaper price than theirs.
Corkage Wine= £8 and we are buying at £5 a bottle Corkage Champagne= £11 and we are buying at £10 a bottle (reduced to £10 from £28 in tescos!!)
This is in a hotel in Warwick. I feel quite please with myself after reading these prices ^^

Ours is £38 per head (plus VAT) and then the drinks package is around £20 oer head I think.
How are people choosing what menu to have? It's so hard to pick something everyone will like :(
CommentAuthormrsjones
we are paying £20 per head for 3 course meal with carvery for mains for 64 people, and £7 per head for buffet in the evening for up to 150 people. Our reception is being held in the function room of a local big country pub so they are really reasonable. xx

Ours is £23 per head - and that's a 3 course meal in the restaurant/hotel (and choice of 5 different dishes per course). We're not having an evening reception (straight into the hotel bar after the meal lol).

ours is costing around £20pp for a 3 course meal,it should have been from £35p but we know the people who own the mansion where we're having thr reception so they're giving us a good discount. we will be putting wine on the tables, providing a welcome drink and champagne for the toast which we are buying ourselves and im pretty sure there is no corkage either! not bad... yey! x
CommentAuthorKizzy81
I had to work really hard, but we're getting silver service 3 course meal, canapes and drinks service, plus a fully serviced bar for £32 a head. I'm then hiring a local tea room to do the evening buffet at about £5.25 per head.
