I was just wondering how many of you have passed duties off onto your H2B and then regretted it cause he's banned you from any involvement ?? Lol !
My H2B is finding the cake ! He refuses to even bother looking on anything more than goog for 'general ideas' as it's 'too far away' to think about yet ! So here I am chomping at the bit to try and do more and more and he's not mentioning a word lol !! His other job is something to out the cards in ! Which I know he has already ordered a bunch of stuff for, I just don't know what lol.. And then obviously the suits, but I did make it very clear which suit style and colours I wanted hehe :-) Luckily he totally agrees with those though :-)
The cake I won't see until our day and the 'card putter inner' (lol) I wont see til the night before ! It's the no cake involvement I regret the most though as he tells me off when I try and tell him ones I like because he want's to choose it with no influence from me whatsoever, I know he'll choose well but it's very hard not being able to look at any at all lol.. xxx

Haha :-) I kinda am Sita !! I do keep having sneaky peeks at cakes but I can't TELL anyone cause Nicky's got them brainwashed into telling me I'm interferring haha ! Bless him, I do love that he's done it really cause it is quite a weight off my shoulders seeing as I'm doing EVERYthing else.. (which I don't mind being the control freak that I am :-) ) but it is hard too lol.. I can't wait to see what he chooses though :-) xxx

I haven't passed any duties on, we've agreed the big things together, think he'll just decide his suits ( with colour advice from me) and kind of his stag do and that's it by himself, everything else will be joint, apart from my dress and the bridesmaid dresses x

We've agreed on the venue together, food together, colour theme together, suits together but obv his job to get everyone sorted for fittings etc, we're not having hens or stags.. I try and ask his opinions but he just says have what you want, so I officially told him he HAS to do something lol... So the cake it was ! xx

no way!! my h2b's only duty is to turn up on the day!! He's involved in all the decisions but i'm the one organising everything as he is beyond useless, he can't even go to the shops and get the right thing without step by step instructions!

Lol, no I wouldn't allow the honeymoon seeing as I suggest lovely villas and he jokes about fishing trip to Ireland which at any other time I'd easy go but honeymoon no chance lol.. He dreaded the cake when I first told him its in his hands but think he's quite come round to it now :-)
I know what suit he's getting, or at least style and colours, but still not allowed to see it on til the day but don't mind that :-) xxx

owwww you are brave letting him choose and buy the cake :-) but he sounds like he'll do it fine. My h2b was given 2 jobs, his suit and choose his wedding ring style - with 4 months until the day and neither done, I bought his ring and made his suit appt and dragged him there lol All I ever get when I ask for his input is "whatever you want"

I thinki mine will be better behaved than yours Almost Mrs B! At least I hope so!! He's very much a girl when he comes to his clothes though, I dont think he can wait to get suit shopping lol, though at the mo its far to soon, I think he'll wait til at least next january. I've not passed on any duties per se but he has accompanied me and then taken over fornthe cake and cars and I thought for a moment I had a groomzilla on my hands , he and my dad vetoed me on car choice which now I actually totally get but at the time it felt weird.
He was very opinionated on the choice of venue and ensured we picked an amazing one as otherwise I think we may have ended up with somewhere not so lovely.
Told him to get the suits sorted out and he insists I went with him!

Wow, I love cake! All I knew I wanted and needed was for the cake to be dairy free cos of my allergy and that we didn't want all traditional fruit then h2b went in like a kid in a sweet shop! The cake was bigger and more unique than I imagine we'd have! I had to remind him we have a budget! He basically wants to out do all the weddings his mates have had! So everything had to be bigger and more grand than any of his friends!

AlmostMrsB he'll do great :-) I know it'll be very 'us' :-) I'm hoping he'll start looking sooner than 4 months though ! He's looking forward to getting the suits but dreading getting 5 men and 1 child together to do theirs ! I think he'll do the kids separately to the men though.. They'll be 16 and 8 so growing quickly prob !

I am getting a three tiered cake with tonnes of sugar roses on it to feed 150 people for £290 so £500 is definitely enough!! lol My H2b sorted out the band (its Greek, he's Greek, so I wasn't doing it! lol) and then he will the suits, other than that everything else is down to me! xxx

Our cake is £395 and it's four tiers but each tier is huge. The bottom tier alone feeds more people than we have guests! Lol

Thank god I'm arranging most of the day. We already had him say he wanted to walk out of the ceremony to the imperial march! It wouldn't be so bad if we were getting married on May the 4th!!
