Oh bless her! My heart goes out to her hun! I think many of us have been there and felt what we had was perfect when in actual fact it was far from it! To go through the process of buying a house etc is a big commitment, he obviously either felt pressured into doing it or everything he is saying is his way of dealing with it!

He was only gone a week which is a very short time to suddenly start seeing someone and then leave your wife!

Well all you can do is be there for her hun and I know it is hard but I wouldn't pass judgement on him, the chances are they may get back together! Just give her lots of support as im sure you will x x x

this sort of thing annoy nme so much. marraige is a sacred thing does 'till death do we part' mean nothing to people nowadays. it's so easy to waltz into a marraige because it's so easy to walk out again. Rob and i have been together 4 years and it's another 2 till the big day, we've waited ages but it's because we want to be sure and we want it to be perfect. we both only want to do it once. what is it with people who think they can have everything...people who think the grass is greener. grrrrrrr!!!!
your poor friend. just lucky she found out early and didn't waste any more of her life on this waste of space

Just support her - I know it's awful, but she's not the first person it's happened to and she won't be the last. It's not her fault - it's his and he will do it for the rest of his life, running from one relationship to another with out a line drawn between them. She'll be hurt for some time but she will get through it with help from her friends and family.

I got married when i was 18 and 12 years later my ex walked out for another women so i know how she feels babe. Yes she has a house and a dog but thank god she has no kids as the situation could have been alot worse. I had 2 kids a
new house and a new puppy when my ex left and dealing with the kids emotions after one of the parents walks out is the worst thing about divorse.
Your friend is 21 still young to start again when shes ready. And untill then she has her family and you to support her. Give her as much as she needs babe and listen when she needs you to and get drunk with her when she needs that too :-)
    All the best

Hun it can happen to anyone at anytime .........i had been married for 17 years when my marraige fell apart , i firmly believed that my marraige would be till the end of our day but of course didnt factor in the effect of the falklands and gulf wars .....( think i`ll leave that there !!!!!!!!

He is scum and she's better off without him, eventually she'll realise that. I think it's awful that people go ahead with a wedding when they don't want to be married just to "save face" or whatever, surely at 26 he was old enough to realise that he couldn't pretend forever and would eventually hurt her more? I can understand marriages breaking down after time but a year proves he didn't want to be married in the first place. He is a prick and eventually she'll find someone who deserves her and until then all anyone can do is support her x
