So, This week iv gone from Angry to sad with a sprinkling of excited...
My in-laws 2b are driving me CrAzY!!!
Every other day they come to us with a reason why they and/or my h2b's sister & husband wont be able to come to our wedding!!!
When we first got engaged last March (2009) they were chuffed, until we said that we want to get married next yr (2011). They constantly told us they wouldn't be able to afford to come (we're getting married in Greece - its the cost of a 1wk holiday), but have been on two holidays abroad and have another booked!! They even keep asking us to put it off 5years (!!!) until they've paid their mortgage off!!! Honest, they know we dont want any money for anything, we dont even want a present!!!
Their car recently broke down which meant they cant afford to come to the wedding because they need a new one. They didnt get a new one so we're just waiting for the next excuse...
H2b's sister had a baby 6months ago. Even before she became pregnant she had said that she wasn't going back to work but they will still be able to come. Last month her workplace closed down, so they told us that now she wont be working next yr they cant afford to come. She's still getting her maternity pay AND she has redundancy money! This week they have told us that they need a new car so wont be able to come. What will it be next month?!?!
Okay okay so they cant come ... Stop going on about it!!! Obviously we'd be gutted if they couldn't make it, but we've decided that alsong as the two of us are there - every1 else is a bonus. Comming to us week after week with a different excuse is not going to change the fact that we're getting married next summer.
Im getting as though I just cant be bothered anymore :o( I cant talk about the wedding without getting frustrated, I cant even think about it!!! If it wasn't for my mum and dad I'd just suggest we elope and leave every1 behind!! Even that wouldn't suit the in-laws 2b though Im sure. Would you believe I actually REALLY like my in-laws 2b?!?!?!
Sorry to bring my grumpy mood on here ... I just NEED to get it off my chest

Aw Lisa thats sad.
Maybe just avoid seeing them or talking about the wedding with them? Just come on here for wedding talk and avoid talking about it to them or talk to your H2B and ask him to have a word with them and say fair enough you cant come so shut up already lol

they sound like right pains in the bum!!!! sorry they are giving you a hard time hun. Just remember the wedding is for the 2 of you, no one else matters really hunny. as long as your together thats what matters. chin up chick, it will work out xxx

I love them really, I just think they have no idea how much of a pain in the bum they're being!! Its sooooo frustrating

Lisa if you get on very well with them you should explain to them how much stress they are giving you and that yous are doing this with or without them there obviously you would love them there but to make their minds up and let you know once this is done. xx
