Firstly SLAP HER! haha! Lala's famous words, how dare she try and cancel your wedding to get the deposit in her bank and then want to spend it! This is the mother in law from hell! my Farther is the same as yours there is always something more important! im glad i have my step dad who has bought me up since i was 10 years old. i am very sorry about your sister sending you big hugs for this. How come there isnt a job? were you told a date in which you were supposed to start work? if so contact them and tell them they had given you a job and a start date could they honour there word as otherwise you may have to seek legal advice on the matter.

Oh my god I feel so bad for you. I would advise that if you book anything else then get a password put on the booking so if you need to make any changes only you and h2b can do that then she can't try that trick again. (I would advise the password being MIL2B is a witch?) Hope your sister is ok though, not an easy situation but at least you've got the funds to make the dash back if necessary. Also a lot of companies are taking Christmas staff on so why don't you apply to argos, wilkinsons etc x

What happened with the job? Had you signed a contract or not? There may be some legal action you can take if you had signed a contract and they knew that you were moving solely to take this job.
As for the "monster", well what can we say, some people don't deserve the time and respect we show. Good on you for not inviting her to the wedding, and if I were you I would get the police involved over what she did with the church because that comes very close to fraud!

oh my god she sounds AWFUL!! I think you win the "worst mother in law" award. Imagine trying to sneakily cancel your wedding so she can get deposit money to buy a vivarium!! thats just mental.
you got plenty of time before the wedding, so I really hope you both manage to distance yourselves from that old witch and manage to enjoy planning your wedding.

OMG! Im sorry to hear that you are having a rough time, look on the positive side as much as you can tho hun, and sort things out one at a time. I can belive your MIL tried to do that! So evil..... good on you for not inviting her.......at least you and your h2b is united on this front.

Aww bless ya hun you are a very strong girl if that was me I would have blow my top and a few home truths would have come out I really feel for you and for trying to cancel the wedding that is mental I really hope te next 3/4 month fly by and u get your own place and get a new job hunx
