I can't believe it - I didn't even think my h2b would pop the question this year and now we're going to book the venue tomorrow! Don't get me wrong, I can't wait to marry him and become his wife and he my husband, but I guess it's just sinking in a bit more that this is the man I'm going to be with forever and that's a bit scary! Does anyone else feel like this?

its great when the venue gets booked, it feels so real then. it is scary, esp how quick it goes, mines just over 8 mths now, when i booked it, it was 16 mths

its great when everything gets booked and all you have to do is get married, im pretty much all booked now. think next step for making it feel real is when i have my dress fitting

That's what one of my friends has said as well - the time just disappears! It's going to be weird when in a couple of weeks I'll be able to say 'I'm getting married next year'! I guess you have that as well - well in that you'll be able to say 'I'm getting married this year'.... We're booking the registrar as well!! Wow....
i can't wait until new year and then i can say that, going to be so weird knowing im getting married this year lol. coming around so fast, will warn you though that at some point you will hit a break wall with nothing to do, i.e my time now. I have just hit that wall, got nothing more to book, everything is organised and 2 early to send out invites. So not got anything to do for a couple of months

i feel exactly like that!! It doesnt feel real and although we have discussed loads we havent been able to book anything as we dont know if we can even afford to get married at min :( but i wouldnt worry i think it normal lol it will be worse i would imagine on the actual wedding day as you wont be just you anymore you will be a mrs!!! im getting that even now!! And still hopfuly got year and half!!lol

We've been really lucky, my dad has been rather generous and whilst what he gave us wont cover the cost of the wedding, it's certainly a HUGE jump start so we know that we can afford it. I'm sure you'll make it happen for you :-) x I think when I start trying dresses on that will be another leap up!!
