With 6 months and 1 day to go until my wedding, we had some interesting news yesterday.... I'm pregnant!!
Its still very early days, and after my last pregnancy ended in a miscarriage I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much just incase. We had decided to put off trying for a child until after the wedding, but it seems fate had a different plan for us.
My main problem is my dress... the one i've fallen in love with is a fully corseted top, so no chance of fitting a 7 month bump under it. So seems i'm going to have to cancel my dress :'( Luckily my first measurements are booked for the 11 of next month, so seems i'm only going to lose my deposit, and not have to pay for the entire dress that i'd never be able to wear. Gutted :(
But i've found a dress maker near where I live, and I've been in touch with her to hopefully make me a maternity dress with all the elements I loved from my original dress. So fingers crossed it all work out.
Just have to hope every goes ok with this pregnancy. As if I miscarry again, it will be too late to have my original dress.

and if you haven't been measured yet the dress as not been ordered so i would first ask your bridal shop if you can transfer the deposit to a different dress that would fit you better with bump. i did this as i had payed my deposit but I'm not ordering till next year i saw a dress i loved more then the one i originally picked and the shop just moved me deposit to the new one as it hadn't been ordered it wasn't a problem xx

congratulations and as long as you have a dressmaker lined up thats a great thing!!! hope everything works out and you get the wedding you want as well as a healthy happy baby at the end of it :-D

Thank you everyone, still in shock really, but so excited, got a consultation with the dress maker next week for a chat. So fingers crossed it all works out. Had a look on the Berketex website (where my dress is from) for maternity addable dresses, and they don't have many... but if it come to it might be able to change the dress to one of them, so I don't have to lose the deposit, got until the 11th to decide anyway :) xx
