we have had to bring the wedding forward due to my dad fighting cancer for 2 years his sadly now been told theres nothing else they can do for him. so i dont wanna risk waiting untill my oringal date so we are hoping to move it to the 28th july this year that leaves me 3 months to get every thing and on pretty much no money cry ....any help bargins etc i would really appriciate it :) xxx

Aw honey I feel for you. My dad has cancer too for the 3rd time and there is nothing they can do for him now, just keep operating to keep him alive a bit longer, so it is sad but lovely that you are changing your day to have him there to see you get married. What things have you done already and what have you still to get? You will get loads of help from all of us to get the best bargains. But sending love and hugs to you and your family, I know how hard it is to cope with. xxx

well we have got absoluty nothing sorted ive emailed a registry office but with it being bank holiday ownt get a reply untill tuesday. the bridesmaids are buying there dresse for me. mums buying the wedding dress but im getting one off ebay as we are going to have a big blessing in couple of years but trying to have a day for my dad now.
cancers such a horid thing he had thoat cancer cant talk no more got the all clear from that and now found out he has it in both lungs :(
im thinking of having grey for the dresses but can find none as im having a big blessing i dont wanna have the day the same so having to choose different things dp said just go get married and thats it but i dont wanna i still wanna enjoy our day as it is still our real wedding day
big hugs and although it may be difficult with little budget, at least you will have your dad there with you on your special day and that is all that matters. Not that you would but you could walk down the aisle with a bag on your head for all your dad cares, just so long as he witnesses your special day. Good luck hun and chin up x

Use a ring company (link on my wall) to create your rings, they tend to be cheaper than buying from a shop 8. Buy your veil online from bay or create your own (link on my wall) 9. Use. Silk flowers unless you hold reception in a garden or park with flowers 10. Tell guests to bring cameras and ask that you get a copy of every photo taken. 11. Ask a friend to video it 12. Go to a college for a band. 13. Balloons instead of flowers 14. Town hall reception

Hi Danielle, sorry to hear about your dad but like others have said it is so nice that you've brought your wedding forward so that he can be involved. There was another thread recently about trying to do a wedding reception at short notice on a small budget, reading that could be very useful for you! People were really good at coming up with suggestions to help! I'll find it for you and bump it, look for 'Please make our wedding happen'! Good luck with your planning.

Mine isn't much more than £3k as we have no money either! *rolls eyes!* I'm sure that your friends and family will rally round. I'm a big fan of charity shops and ebay-loads of bargains on there. You can find (and sell) anything on there and cheaply or look in the Trade-it. Plus get everyone involved, make your own wedding cake ect but maybe abut more stress than its worth. Forget things that can be forgotten like favours etc.
On a really really positive note. My mum had to bring her wedding two years due to doctors only giving my grampy (mums dad) six months due to cancer. My mum and dad have been married 14years this year and my grampy died 18months ago. xxxxx

i put a post in general disscustion :)
we are in a place called the iivory rooms with a 3 course sit down meal and a buffet for the evening :) got a cup cake tower and my dress sorted for center pieces i got fish bowls with boquets and tall vases for the other tables having 3 or each :) so excited now xx

hiya girls well my last topic was due to some bad news but now its all good :) we have a lovley venue now and a 3 course sit down meal with a buffet in the evening. ive got my dress sorted and we even got a cupcake tower for out wedding cake :) every thing now is running so perfect got 2 different centre pieces got some long tall vases and some fish bowls with boquets in them ! the suits are sorted just need to go for make up trial and get wedding rings now and were done..... a big thanks goes out to the mil though who stepped in a lent us the money because of the circumstances so in 29 days i become mrs bowling and i cant wait <3 xx
