Siixoxo - you may be able to get a cancellation or late availability at a venue with you being quite close to your date, this would save you quite a lot of money.

Hi all bride to bes! Just joined the site. Me and my partner have just recently got engaged. I just wondered if anyone could help who may live or know the Isle of Wight quite well. We aren't looking to get wed until 2019 but wanting ideas on venues if anyone has married on the isle before? Anywhere beautiful with lovely scenery and we'd much prefer a venue for both ceremony and reception

Hi everyone, we got engaged on my birthday a few weeks ago in sunny skiathos! Am planning a wedding abroad in 2018 - anyone recommend locations? I'm v bad at making decisions so this is going to be a tricky process I think! :)
CommentAuthorStephH96
Hi Julia, congratulations and welcome to the site! :) Did you like Skiathos? Maybe you could go back there for your wedding seeing as that's where you got engaged? We are getting married in Vegas next week, its been really easy and chilled planning, I can recommend it so far as a destination.

Hi everyone, my name is Lesley and I got engaged in April. I am new to planning and we are hoping to get married in December 2017. I only have a very small budget, £5k for everything, not including my dress as my mum is buying that. If any of you have any suggestions on cost cutting that would be great. Thank you all in advance

Hi my name is Chelsea,
I have recently gotten engaged to my childhood sweetheart who I have been with since the age of 14. I have zero clue what I'm doing with this whole planning a wedding thing and could definitely do with some help/advice and maybe some new friends :) We're hoping for an August 2018 wedding, giving us some time to save. Never too early to start making plans :)

Hi everyone, I'm fairly new to the site, I joined because I don't really have any idea about how to plan a wedding, and I have that much going on in my life personally that I thought this might make it a bit easier. Is this one of the best sites to use in order to keep track of planning? Thanks, Lauren
CommentAuthorMaxineP89
Hi Lauren.
Firstly welcome to the site. I too had no idea where to start planning/budgeting etc. This site has been invaluable so far in my planning. There is a really useful guide in the planning section.
Take a look around and don't be afraid to ask any questions, no matter how trivial they may seem - I'm sure we have all asked them at some point and if not, it may be really helpful to someone else.
Looking forward to becoming the 3rd and last Mrs McLauchlan
