Now that you have found your way here you will get all the help you need in planning your special day and make loads of new friends with the lovely ladies that make this site so special so enjoy every min of it!
Ok now for my modly bit.....
FIRSTLY can I ask you all to read the forum rule thread that is at the top of the page as it not only lets you know all our dos and donts within the forum it also explains all you need to know with regards to our heart and points system as well as a few other need to know bits.
Secondly for all you newbies that havent a clue where to start please read a thread called "a brides checklist" this has an amazing list of exactly what to do and when, when your planning your wedding and is a BRILLANT help! To find this thread go to the search above and type in the thread name as above and the thread will pop up for you :-)
Thirdly when writing a thread please remember to use the search above first because most questions have been asked so there are many threads available that have some brillant tips and advice in them that would be a shame to waste simply because you missed them.
Fourthly alot of you have your profiles restricted. To get the full benefit of the site you need to unrestrict them so the ladies can add you as friends and so they can put links on the wall if your trying to find something as they are not allowed in the forum. To unrestrict your page all you need to do is go to your wedding page by clicking the wedding button above. Then under your wedding countdown clock there is an edit button. Click that and it will take you to a page where all your details are, at the bottom is profile settings so just click that to public and your all set to go! :-)

Hi all, newbie here. Recently got engaged on 4th July whilst on holiday in crete, to say I was shocked was an understatement ha. We haven't set a date yet as we are currently saving for a deposit and we want to buy a house before we get married however we thought we could look about for ideas and plan what we want for our big day now and then when we gnarly get our house we can get our wedding booked.
I'm very excited to be planning ideas already I just hope I'm not doing it too early and our idea seem silly. I am also extremely overwhelmed with everything that a wedding involves and that's from only having a brief look ha.
CommentAuthorKathleenO17
Hi Julie and welcome :) I don't think it is ever too early to start looking for ideas. I got engaged in March and although we said we wanted to keep saving for the house deposit first we have booked our wedding for May 2018 so the two will most likely clash that same year!
I was surprised by how many people do tend to book the weddings even 3-4 years in advance so I wanted to secure the best places and dates but now I know just how much the wedding will cost me because everything is booked x
CommentAuthorjulie_hoole@hotmail.
Thank you. I didn't know if we was getting too eager if we are not booking anything just yet. We would rather have the money for the deposit first theb we have said as soon as that's sorted it's all wedding wedding wedding. I'm excited already but overwhelmed with where to start :) I'm going to look at the brides checklist over the weekend and start making a list.
May is a nice month, we thought of may but it's so busy with lots of other stuff with our families ha
CommentAuthorKathleenO17
We were thinking March originally as that's the month we got together and you may more for a summer wedding, but we went for May as we chose a bank holiday weekend in the end :) x
CommentAuthorMaxineP89
If you are looking at a Bank Holiday weekend, then in my opinion, the earlier you get things booked the better. Happy planning x

Newbie here, just got engaged, no date set yet, deciding whether to save for a house or a wedding :-) Wedding wise, was thinking of no wedding breakfast, maybe a hog roast early evening. Any advice much appreciated! :-) xx
CommentAuthorMariaP483
Morning Kirsti.. I'm doing the same as you, saving for house and wedding. Have been saving for house for a little while already so that was always going to be priority. We have a rough wedding date but I would rather we had our little home ready before we got married. Can't offer any advice on the hog roast apart from it being a lovely idea and would def keeps costs down, especially having to save for the two most expensive things you'll ever buy in your life :-$

Hi to all my fellow brides to be!!
i have only just found my way to this site, and i wished i had done it much sooner - 97 days to go 'til i get married - i'm sure i should be more stressed than i am! Me and my fiance are in the process of looking into invitations, which is what prompted me to go to an online forum as there is so much choice and appears very costly. Now i have found some ideas after looking at one of the threads.
Happy planning everyone! :-) x

Hi, I joined a while ago but haven't been active but I will be now as we're finally getting things in motion and have provisionally booked our date for 29/9/18 just waiting on the booking forms. Me and my partner have been together for 11 years and engaged for 6 years! We decided to put wedding plans on hold to have a baby, our beautiful daughter is now 4! We're trying to keep our budget low so I'm hoping this site gives us lots of ideas and tips!
