Hi everyone, im Katherine and i got engaged 4 days ago. My partner and I have been together for 14 years and have 2 wonderful daughters, ive been waiting for him to pop the question for years and completely out of the blue on Saturday he asked me! I am absolutely over the moon and we have decided on September next year, so only just over a year to go! I got my engagement ring today, which means the world to me as it was my Grans ring and is absolutely stunning. I could talk weddings all day so im glad ive finally found somewhere i can do just that!

Hi Everyone! I got engaged in April this year, my fiancé surprised me entirely with a balcony proposal in Barcelona! We met on a dating website in January 2012! We've booked a venue for 18th Feb 2017, worried we've booked too early as I feel like there's nothing to do at the moment!

Hi all!
My name is Nicola and me and my best friend Sam got engaged on his birthday this year (17th Aug). I'm currently at uni studying midwifery so we won't get married until after I qualify; The aim is May 2018. Baring in mind it's over 2 years away and we won't know 100% till this time next year am I getting too ahead of myself?? I don't want to book anything just yet but I'm looking at ideas for venue, dress, theme/colour and creating a scrapbook. I figured it will make wedding planning slightly easier as I'm going to be doing it during my 3rd and final year of uni. Am I being sensible or jumping in too early?? I'm getting mixed reactions from my family.

Hi Nicola, No go for it. The earlier you can book the big things then the easier it will be as you get closer to the date. Also will get this years prices so will be cheaper for you. Some places might not let you book 3 years in advance (our church was 2 years) but if you can then its one thing ticked off your list which you done need to worry about. I would just be careful of setting your heart on a picture as when it comes to it, you may not be able to get it within budget. if you can work out a budget now then look at things that will fit in with that budget then you will be in a better position with your ideas as to what you can have when it comes to buying everything.

Hi everyone my name is Fallon and my other half proposed in July. We have just set a date 11/02/2017 and booked our venue. We have also booked our photographer our cake maker and have chosen the rings. We are hoping to go to mexico for our honeymoon as it will be our first holiday as a couple since we started our lovely little family nine years ago.
