I'm Lydia, I'm completely new to all this wedding stuff! only got engaged 3 weeks ago - time seems to fly by so fast :) It's quite scary, my fiance has recently joined the RAF, but loves to help with wedding planning when he can. Going to view some venues next weekend! Hopefully things will start to fall into place once the venue and registry things are sorted :)

Hi everyone, thought I'd introduce myself.
My partner and I have known each other for years and years but finally started dating in 2012. This year started on a very sad note, as I lost my mum after a long illness in January, however my partner gave me something to look forward to when he proposed on our 3rd anniversary at the end of March. My older sister's wedding is all set for August next year so we are planning ours for July 2017.
Really excited about getting to know other brides to be and getting the planning underway! Will hopefully be booking the church soon and then look into booking a venue.

Hi, I'm Joanne,
I've know my boyfriend 3 years and been together 2 1/2 years.
He proposed to me in the South of France in June, in one of my favourite hill top villages overlooking the Mediterranean sea.
I will be becoming Mrs Storey next September in the Lake District at a beautiful hotel next to Windermere.
We're having a small intimate wedding of 25-30 people and really looking forward to it. I hope for as least stress as possible. I am also a real bargain hunter... so always thankful for money-saving tips!
