Hi Im Rachel from Leeds. I got engaged on Christmas Eve and we are getting married 8th August 2014. Its all planned, booked and paid for and I have everything purchased and ready to go! I also make wedding accessories and bespoke decorations :)

Thanks Holly. Im a very organised person lol. We knew what we wanted and Ive been super clever, haggled, bargained and budgeted well. I just have table decorations to make now and shoes for the children.

Hi there! Newly engaged - proposed on shrove tuesday! Planning to get married on March 5th 2016.. Chose March because that was the month we got together, got engaged so keeping the tradition alive! Hi I'm Gem, I got engaged on my 30th birthday on 28th of Feb! Originally wanted a Lapland wedding but that went out the window with only being available in December. So we have now decided to go to the other side of the world and other end of the scale and go for a beach wedding! Looking at Jamaica or Dominican Republic at the min and hopefully in early 2016. If anyone has any advice on beach weddings would be much appreciated :)

Hey everyone, i'm Alice, I got engaged on oct 2nd last year after 18 months of a roller coaster time in life with my lovely partner who has supported me through it all.
I've booked the venue and gathered as many friend helpsies as I can and now I'm onto the rest! We've just bought our first house so saving has proved hard so far and planning stressful but I'm now in full swing! Our date is Friday 10th April 2015 and I'm on a mission to lose weight before getting my dream dress so any tips/support welcome.

We're getting married 26th September 2015 and so far have booked the church but nothing else. We have quite a restricted budget but a large guest list so we're finding the venue a bit of a mission :( I have already cut out a lot of my guests but my partner is not budging on his so we could be looking at quite a costly reception. Stressed.com and there's still 18 months to go!!

@ kirsty, I know you say you've booked the church, but have your thought about changing to a week day as most venues do good packages for weekdays which would bring the price down substantially if you have alot of people to cater for in a budget.

I'm new around here and still trying to work out how everything works.
I got engaged on 24/8/13 but my Gran died on 23/9/13 and the shine was taken off everything as we were very close. I lost interest to be honest and I'm gutted that she won't be there when we eventually choose a date but she wouldn't want me maudling over things, no doubt she's looking down telling me to get on with it. :)
It looks like we will be trying to stick to a budget of no more than £5000 if possible so any hints are welcome. :) I make cards for a hobby so I'll be making the invites. I'm only having one bridesmaid (h2b's sister) so that should be manageable too. We have four nieces but I can't start that game as much as I'd like too, it would get out of hand far too easily!

I joined a couple of days ago and still trying to find my way around, there is so much info on here, but thought it was time to venture onto the forums.
I've been with my fiance for just over 3 years and we got engaged on 10 October last year, which was my late mums birthday. We have set the wedding for 12 September 2015, my lovely h2b wanted it to be on mums birthday as it would have been 2 years to the day of our engagement but wasn't sure I would be abe to cope.
I have the venue and registar booked, but apart from that not much else but feel I should have a lot more done. I do have a lot of things running around my mind, I want to try and get as much as possible done now rather than later as I do not want to be getting stressed out over the little things.
