Ok now for my modly bit.....
FIRSTLY can I ask you all to read the forum rule thread that is at the top of the page as it not only lets you know all our dos and donts within the forum it also explains all you need to know with regards to our heart and points system as well as a few other need to know bits.
Secondly for all you newbies that haven't a clue where to start please read a thread called "a brides checklist" this has an amazing list of exactly what to do and when, when your planning your wedding and is a BRILLIANT help! To find this thread go to the search above and type in the thread name as above and the thread will pop up for you :-)
Thirdly when writing a thread please remember to use the search above first because most questions have been asked so there are many threads available that have some brilliant tips and advice in them that would be a shame to waste simply because you missed them.
Fourthly alot of you have your profiles restricted. To get the full benefit of the site you need to unrestrict them so the ladies can add you as friends and so they can put links on the wall if your trying to find something as they are not allowed in the forum. To unrestrict your page all you need to do is go to your wedding page by clicking the wedding button above. Then under your wedding countdown clock there is an edit button. Click that and it will take you to a page where all your details are, at the bottom is profile settings so just click that to public and your all set to go! :-)
And lastly JUST ENJOY BEING A MEMBER OF UKB AND PLANNING YOUR WEDDING DAY

Hey I'm Laura, and I've been secretly engaged for around a month, we made the engagement public (except to my family lol) on thursday. We were planning a shot gun wedding before we'd even gotten together, but are now hoping to get married this year at some point. As you will have guessed by now, neither of us are conventional, nothing about our partnership has been normal thus far so why should our wedding? :P.
Nothing is booked as of yet, were both unemployed so are going for a small wedding, as long as we have eachother we don't feel the need to have a big expensive affair =]

Hi and welcome Sam! To be able to have people add you as a friend, you need to unrestrict your profile. To do that, if you hover over the 'my wedding' tab at the top next to 'home' and click on the box that says 'my details', at the very bottom should be a privacy settings box and you need to set it to public xxx

Hi and welcome to the site Bev!! The best place to start is deciding what your budget it going to be and then you can work from there. It's best to start looking at venues early, at least so you can get an idea in your mind what sort of places you're looking at, but most places allow bookings from 2 years in advance, so best to get in early so you know you'll get the day and time that you want (and also so it's done!!) xxx

Hi future brides! Im new to this site but am already married. I decided to join because I found reading through forums very helpful when I was planning my wedding and wanted to pass on my lessons leant along the way. Please dont hold back if you have any questions. Id like to start by recommending my first dance teacher whose website is on my profile. If any of you have any hesitations about having a pre-learnt first dance, me and my partner found it really calming on the day to be fully prepared - took some pressure off that we knew what we were doing since everyone was watching/filming/taking pics!!
