Ok now for my modly bit.....
FIRSTLY can I ask you all to read the forum rule thread that is at the top of the forum page as it not only lets you know all our do's and don'ts within the forum it also explains all you need to know with regards to our heart and points system as well as a few other need to know bits.
SECONDLY if you haven't a clue where to start please read a thread called "a brides checklist" this has an amazing list of exactly what to do and when, when your planning your wedding and is a BRILLIANT help! To find this thread go to the search above and type in the thread name as above and the thread will pop up for you :-)
THIRDLY when writing a thread please remember to use the search above first because most questions have been asked so there are many threads available that have some brilliant tips and advice in them that would be a shame to waste simply because you missed them.
FOURTHLY, to get the full benefit of the site you need to unrestrict them so the ladies can add you as friends and so they can put links on the wall if you’re trying to find something as they are not allowed in the forum. To un-restrict your page all you need to do is go to your wedding page by clicking the wedding button above. Then under your wedding countdown clock there is an edit button. Click that and it will take you to a page where all your details are, at the bottom is profile settings so just click that to public and your all set to go! :-)
And lastly JUST ENJOY BEING A MEMBER OF UKB AND PLANNING YOUR WEDDING DAY!

Hi everyone - I'm a newbie to here. We got engaged about a year ago on our anniversary whilst out for a walk in the Yorkshire Dales but because we've been trying to a house the wedding planning has been on the back burner. Now we have our house though I'm getting cracking with it all. No date booked as yet but hoping to have that sorted in the next couple of months for spring 2015. So excited, I don't know what I'm going to do with myself for the next 18 months! :-)

Hi guys! Just joined UKB and it looks like It'll take a while for me to get used to the site. Me and my partner got engaged over 10 years ago, but only managed to book the venue this past March. I know pretty much all of my suppliers, and friends and family will be helping out with a lot of things, but any help with how to budget will be gratefully received as I Only have a small budget of £7000. hi all iv just joined UKB so i'm a newbie on here will probably take a while to get used to it. i just love talking weddings :) me and my h2b got engaged Christmas 2011 and are getting married 12th April 2014? any1 else share this date? I'm so excited but soo nervous thinking of walking down the isle in front of all those people and saying our vows ha ha. we are having a church wedding and then just having the reception, we are not having the meal as we are having a 4 o'clock wedding and it saves on cost. We only have a small budget of £3,000. We have most things booked, church, photographer, cake, flowers, i have my dress ordered and paid half off that cant wait till November when its made and can start fittings :) feel free to add me aswel :) xx

dlarms- get your church or registrar booked and your venue the rest will follow from there. i was the same once i started planning i was stressing over it but as soon as we got the church and venue booked it has been sort of plane sailing from then. had a few bridezilla moments but all sorted now hehe. just make sure you enjoy the planning as it can be daunting for some people and so stressful. I have done things in steps. if you write yourself a to-do list and dates you want to achieve them by you shouldnt have a problem or you can find wedding todo lists on search engines. hope thats some help :) any questions or advice feel free to pop me an inbox.
FutureMrsWills- wow seems ages off yet but with all your studying etc it will be here before we know it. when we set our date we had 18 months from then till our big day and since booking it has flew by. xx

Hi everyone :) FINALLY planning to get married august 2016. Hi everyone. I just registered on here tonight, I got back from a two week holiday in Gran Canaria this morning where my boyfriend proposed to me after 4 years :) Been engaged two weeks today and I could not wait to get back and start the planning! We're looking to get married July next year (2014) and I am still so overwhelmed that I'm not quite sure where to start! mines 12th April hunny..and congrats tasha_jayne5 how lovely. my man proposed christmas day 2011 i had no idea and was a big shock he had put it in a gift box that looked like a bracelet box so i didnt have a clue. we set our date 10 months ago and my god its flown by. definately 1st thing to do is book where you will be getting married and your venue then the rest will just fall into place. make sure you have a look about at all different themes etc get a little idea of what you want if you dont already know, i at the start changed my color theme several times i just didnt have a clue what i wanted so that was a stressful time lol xx

EmmaJ91 aqua blue is lovely. where abouts are you from? not many decent venues near me and dont really want to venture out because of the kids. iv got a dance academy for mine its a nice big room with a full mirrored wall and looks lovely decorated. xx

hi saraD48 im from kent. but i live in a village middle of no where so iv been looking all over kent and trying to do ceremony and reception all in one place. by 2016 most the kids in our family will be about 15/16 and adult prices iv seen are above 11. im going to have my dad and stepdad walk me down the aisle. my stepdad has been there more for me really but was so hard to choose so thought id have both lol.. just waiting to see if my dad willing to pay for anythink lol is any of your parents helping with costs? x

We have booked the venue and have a meeting with our photographer on Sunday.
Get butterflies everytime I think about our wedding, just wish it was sooner!!
Ive been very very lucky that my dad has made a generous contribution to our wedding as I'm his only daughter and my mum abandoned me years ago so he said he has been saving to give me the day of my dreams.
Can't wait to see/hear/share everybodys stories along the way.x x
