We get married and have our reception at the same venue which is a country house public house in West Yorkshire. We have lats of surprises in store such a owl delivering the ring, a magician and a blues brothers tribute.

Hello - I'm new! :D I'm getting married on September 2nd this year in Nailsea, just outside Bristol, in a beautiful old tithe barn - we only got engaged in December, so it's frantic planning time, haha! We're going for as lovely a wedding as we can on as low a budget as we can, which is proving a challenge...but a fun one! x

Hi, I'm a newbie.
We have loosely set a date for 2019-2020 the reason being we don't know what our financial situation will be like then as we are also planning on owning our own house aswell. We currently don't live together but all we know is that we want to spend the rest of our lives together. I have been married and am currently going through a divorce.

Hello! I'm Shellie and am planning to get married to my love on September 30th 2018! We got engaged in late June 2012, at the top of the Empire State Building, and always knew we would have a long engagement because we wanted to save up and buy a home together first, and I needed to finish my doctorate.
I'm still doing my doctorate (one more year to go!) but given that we have been engaged for almost five years, we feel like we've waited long enough!
The wedding is going to be in Berkhamsted, Herts. It's going to be a vintage/Gatsby feel wedding, but quite dark as well to temper the OTT glam aspect of that theme!
Looking forward to meeting and talking to you all!
Shellie

Hi, I'm Charlotte, a bit of a Newbie here. Got engaged earlier this month. We haven't picked a date yet (Although May 4th 2020 is appealing with it being "Star Wars Day"). Very much focused on getting a House first before the real wedding plans start. But I don't mind doing a little bit of pre-planning before then :P
CommentAuthorEmily17
Charlotte, congratulations :) we bought the house in the middle of our planning so like you left another year for setting the date x

Hi. I met Jim on March 25th, he moved in on March 26th and we got engaged on April 19th! Yes, that's all this year. We are an older couple and decided that there is no reason to hang about, so we're getting married 6th July 2018. I have been married before but a small ceremony in a register office, so this time, we are planning a big celebration. I am really enjoying the planning, but just hoping that no one is going to think that this is all a bit much at our age!! Must say, we are both very happy.
