Hi all, I did have my wedding theme all sorted until yesterday, suddenly I just felt like I wasnt happy with it for some reason. It was going to be butterflies as they are very pretty :) but to be honest theyre not really personal to me. My h2b said yesterday why dont we have elephants as it has always been my fav animal and I have a weird fascination with them, lol! Do you think everyone would think i am slighly crazy? Im not going to go elephant mad but have them on the stationary and maybe elephant theme favours if i can find something nice? What do you all think?x x

Elephants seem quite royal and grand to me.......think it sounds a lovely idea. I have butterflies as my theme :)
I think it will be cool you can have a whole eastern theam built around it I can just see how amazing it would be now. mines fun and games ie board games lol which is going to be differecult to pull together

Aw that sounds lovely we are having fish as our theme although not in everything.We are having fortune telling fish as our favours and im going to have a bash at making fish shaped cookies and icing names on them as place name settings. My H2B met on plenty of fish dating website so we want plenty of fish at our wedding :-)

Thanks girls! Your all so helpful! Love the expanding on the theme ideas, were hoping to go Kenya for our honeymoon so could maybe go with the African theme. Hmm will have to have a think and see where I can go with it =D have to get in touch with my creative side. I was thinking of having orange for one of my wedding colours so that could work, nice and bright :)

So iv looked into the African theme a bit more and it turns out one of my fav flowers (birds of paradise/Strelitzia) is from Africa, how perfect is that! Will mean budgeting more for flowers as they are quite expensive, but hopefully I can cut back on other things.x x

i think it sounds brill. we are getting married in a zoo and then going to kenya so we have an animal theme running through our wedding with the tables being named after african animals. the cookies will be animal shaped too

You could have so much fun how about an elephant instead of a car or have a safari jeep to take you to church!, instead of a toastmaster have a hunter in a pith helmet and have nelly the elephant as your first dance or you could go for elegant elephants with Crystal elephant centrepieces and bridesmaides in steel grey or silver tones, I'm loving it either way.
