Whats a good amount to loose a week, it depends on your size doen't it? I haven't lost anything since Fri but I have really cheap scales so could that have anything to do with it?

I have weeks where I loose 1lb and then weeks where i loose 3lb, it depends how good you are and if you exercise, but the worst thing you can do is compare yourself to someone else.

I feel like poo! I think all of my food is being used to battle this cold. Going to have prawns in a thai sauce, boiled rice and a good for you naan bread for my tea I think followed by melon and pineapple pot. That should be less than 600 cals :) I have learnt that if I keep tea at under that it defo helps, even if I dont eat much in the day so I am better eating more in the day and just keeping my tea down.

well done everyone on your weight losses, and anyone who didnt loose this week, dont get disheartened, we ALL have our not so good weeks.
I think also we all need a break from a strict diet now and then.

I had a right bloody shock today, i lost 7.5 pounds IN A WEEK !

I do either zumba alone, or some zumba and then some jsut dance, almost every day (done 5 our of 7 days now) and the weights dropping off.

This takes my total weight loss since november to two stone!

I cant tell you how bloody happy I am!
I have my next surgery review april this year, where all i have to do is have lost 6 pounds since my december weight (done already) and they will keep me on the list.

Just need my endoscopy and psych assessmnet now!

Only I left start dec and since went from whatever it says on the ticker to 9st 5.75lbs. A huuuuuge jump. However, been on diet for a week before I go back and helped reduce that to 8st 13.75lbs. Who knows, may lose a tiny bit more by tomorrow!

I have never lost this much before, but previously when i loose it i put it back on again quite quickly. But it would be great if i can do it without an operation i agree, i am scared witless of operations.
but then again i have never felt this determined before, and at last my diabetes is getting under control, which makes a difference, and my pcos is being treated....

what do you do to put it back on again? I find after I get to goal I binge and then dont get back into it and so it creeps on. Therefore, even if I lose and get to goal, I am going to still go ww each week (she says) to keep an eye on it and instead of binging, gradually increase my food intake.

This is still my problem. I am too busy to cook and if I have to cook a full meal when I get in I will snack in the meantime. Therefore, unless I am home by 5-5.30 I am using prepackaged goods. Not great. Must try and avoid that! Its hard though as its nice that there is a set portion with a set amount of calories but I know they are not good for me and probably wouldnt take that long to cook a meal if hubby to be helped me.

Suzky i think that is why at times i live out of my slow cooker cooking up mass batches of various foods that i can store and heat up when time is not on my side.
I work shifts and sometimes it can be difficult, especially preparing for the 24 hour shift which i do sometimes twice a week. I will usually on my day off cook 2 different dishes, maybe a curry, or chilli, casserole or bolognese... anything that i can then have with jacket potato or rice or something.....I have individual portion size pots and fill a tray in my freezer with home made ready meals. I find it really helps me.
Right now i have speedy bean soup in the slow cooker :D

I should really overcook and freeze. Saves prep time. I lvoe chilli and do a nice low cal one so that would be ideal. I dont like the idea of slowcooker as I am out all day and so scared about leaving it on. If I used it on my days off, I would over eat as I would smell it and go yum!

I've only just joined this thread girls, but i'm really impressed with you all, you all have amazing willpower, I wished I could be like that, I've got 2st 7lb to lose by next September. I struggle terribly with my weight, I yo-yo diet all the time.
I was 11st 11lb on New Years day.
I don't want to go into it all guns blazing because I lose weight quite quickly but I put it back on even quicker, so i'm just starting with cutting down slightly and i've started walking for 30 minutes a couple of times a week and i'm going to see how it goes.
    I lost 2lb last week, so that's a start.
Good luck to you all keep up your good work.

Well done everyone on your weight losses so far!

I gained half a lb this week and honestly dont know how! Consultant has asked if it was star week and it isnt (dont have them cos im on the implant) but she said my body could still be going through the monthly motions. So shes asked me to do a food diary and see where i might be sabotaging myself unknowingly. Ah well, I'll get it off next week and more!

Natalie, if the food diary doesnt bring anything up and you still dont loose then ask about an sos log. Its kind of like the food diary but in much much more detail. A woman in my group wasnt doing as well as she would have liked and was hovering with putting lbs on and loosing them again, she did an sos log and in the first day realised what it was..... coffee out of the machine at work!! It was full of hidden syns! As soon as she realised she was able to cut them out and take her own with her instead and came in with a 4lb loss the following week and has consitently lost since.
