Lula - go you for being so strong surrounded by all that lush stuffs, just reading that made my mouth water. Don't be down hearted about the gain bubbles, you have done so fabulously. (Thank you for your offer of the piccie, I may take you up on it so keep it handy but I won't just yet. You really are a wunnerful person :o). Utterly gorgeous inside and out). I think you could be right about the water retaining by the way as no I didn't drink quite as much before beginning this.

Well I began with renewed vigour yesterday, thanks to a few words of practical advice from the lovely lula and my amazing h2b. Basically Ash put his foot down with me and said that we were going to have a weekend of full relaxation, as he walked in on Friday night at about the usual time (11pm-ish) and before he even had time to say 'hello', I told him how I had remembered I had to go for an MRI on the Saturday (despite having had an obscene amount of them they still get me stoopidly agitated), how I had arranged for the kids to go to my mothers for the day (if you have read my thread on the last time they went you will understand why I had concerns), how I was still stressee about not losing anything at WW etc, how I can't find anything for people for xmas and oh soo much more. Then promptly burst into tears. (I wasn't all shoutee just very frustrated as it had been a very rough week or so) He literally put his stuff down and threw his arms around me and said 'we are having a weekend of fun, relaxation and nothingness! No arguments on this!' The next morning he arranged for the kids to stay overnight, sat with me through my MRI, went to M & S and got one of their £10 meal deals, cooked it all by himself without wrecking the kitchen too much lol, and took me for a night out just the two of us.
We talked about the food/weight thing and all of that and have worked out a whole load of adaptations for me to be able to use. I feel so much more calmer and refreshed.
So for me, it bean again yesterday and I am once more determined :oD.. Love & light everybody

aw floateelight, thats so lovely of him! it is horrible when everything mounts up on you and then all of a sudden it all comes crashing down into a pool of tears! but glad you've talked things through and got it all worked out :) good luck and we're all here to support you all the way!

I'm off to my WW tonight & tbh i am dreading it! if it tells me ive sts or put on i will absolutely burst into tears, and being a helper that is not something I can just go and do, as once we've been weighed we have to open up and let members thru! i have been so determined this week like you wouldnt believe, for those who do WW, none of my 49, none of my rubbish, absolutely nothing bad apart from a bite of the pretzel i got my OH at weekend! was hoping it would of meant a loss today but for some reason my scales are saying otherwise ugh!! we shall see... i know i should be happy if ive sts but not when i ate some weeklies last few wks and have lost 1/2lb or stayed the same!! technically i shud have a great loss this week but yeh.... we will see!

So we have been married 10 weeks on Saturday and i've put a bit of weight on since the wedding. We go away in 11 weeks on Saturday to Mexico for a week and both hubby and I wanna get our bums into the gym to tone up.
I have googled and found some good ideas etc such as 20 mins cardio followed by toning excercises.
Any tips or advice on how to get nice and toned up?

you could try the 30DS? its cardio/toning/strength all in one? and only about 20min, well 27/28min inc warmup / down... means you dont have to leave your house or go out in the cold to the gym? Dont have to do it strictly for 30 days... or try one of her other DVDs? Its only £5er off rain still xx

ah well if its in your home and you already pay then go for it! dont force yourself into doing it so many times, go if and when you want that way you will be more motivated and determined.. rather than setting yourself 3 days a week or whatever and then fail... If i choose when to do something im more likely to stick to it than forcing myself... just like when your doing WW, if your minds not in it you wont be! xx

well if hes telling you your not doing enough, ask him what he suggest then? Its good that he pushes you but once youve been do you feel better that he's pushed you into doing it? ask him to step back from the criticising, as much as you want the push and the motivation from him to keep you determined there is a fine line! why dont you sit down with him and work out some sort of regime?
stretches to warm up, 15min bike, 15min treadmill/crosstrainer, arm weights, leg weights, 15min treadmill/crosstrainer, warm down... something like that? x

I got a plan online which is 12 wk course - 20 mins cardio so on the treadmill etc and then toning stuff. We are gonna do it together.
I know from when I trained for my R4L I can get results and I do feel good when he's pushed me to go.

So today, I'm on plan with my food, gonna enjoy the gym tonight and I WILL get there :o)

so I lost 1/2lb.... which i was at first a bit gutted about to be perfectly honest, as i had tried sooooo hard this week, no temptations, no snacking, no naughties... to try and get back on and shift the 1.5lb i want to lose before xmas, as know losing my overall remaining of 8.5lb was impossible, so really wanted to get my next achievement of 5 stone by xmas!! and considering I managed to lose 1/2lb two weeks ago where I had eaten some rubbish too... I was gutted!!! but then after some words with both MrsWright290912 & my OH I realised that I should be happy with 1/2lb, its a step in the right direction and if I give myself another reallllllyyyy good week it should show next week... the scales did wobble between 1/2 - 1lb... so aiming for 1lb next week! heres hoping!!
well kind of have to rule out today - got a cake tasting at 12!! haha. i wont be too bad moms going with, a fellow WW'er so she'll make sure I don't eat too much anyway!!!

ive weighed myself this morning and according to my scales ive lost about 4lb since monday. i expect that will be back on when monday comes round. its h2b fault i swear hes trying to fatten me up. lol. weekends are the worst part of the week for me :(

well Kimi that sounds amazing weight loss for you! if you reckon it will change by monday, then give yourself a stricter weekend, be hard on yourself and don't let yourself lose over the weekend! its one weekend, but you get such a good reward come monday!
my last day of 30DS tomorrow, cannot believe i've actually stuck it out! tbh the only difference Ive noticed is the fact i can do things better with the weights, or the jumps etc. not actually any physical change! oh well, serves me right for trying to do some fitness for once along with failing at WW. but back on WW now & see how that goes. had a cake consultation and taster today but didnt go crazy with the cakes, saved most of it for my OH! and then got back to moms and we made a mahoosive fruit salad and picked at that all afternoon instead of having a lunch on top of cakes so hopefully damage limitations! we shall see.... keep positive eh! x

hey xbeckix, the weather doesn't help I think but the sun will be shining soon. You can do it.
I had weigh-in yesterday and didn't lose, so am still 12st 6lb but am being all positive as it is better than a gain and as I have myself a new toy to play with in the kitchen (a faboo hand blender plus attachments) I have been going mad making loads of batches of healthy soups and sauces for me to eat. Problem is that the kids like them too and have so far had half my stock lmao. So had to make a load more today and try to get them cooled and in the freezer before they got in from school.
After feeling very low and all pleh about it all am being very up beat about things, to the point of ooober annoying lol. Waiting on my copy of 30DS to arrive and then shall be hitting that too, the way I see it is even if I don't lose weight and stuff at least I will get fit in the attempt and reclaim the ability to deal with food stuffs and all that malarky :o).
I think that we are all doing marvelously and you are all fab, keep going

After weighing myself yesterday, I am very disappointed in myself managed to put on nearly a stone :( and in only a month. My plan is to do a food diary and write everything I eat so I can watch myself and look at where I'm going wrong also going to use mfp. Need to get out and do some walking as well & get back to the gym!

Well. This weekend has been a bit cr@p diet wise - or so I think. Had a s@insburys meal dal of chicken and bacon sarnie with a bag of cheese and onion crisps for lunch on sat and then just leek and potatoe soup (homemade) with bread for tea. Then wine.
Yesterday, porridge for brekkiem, honey and sunflower bread from t3scos for lunch and then roasted ham and veg for tea.
Starting again today - getting fed up of saying that phrase! But I did the gym and 2 zumba sessions (an hour each) over the weekend :o)

Hi hope you don't mind me joining in. I have been a rejoining member of SW about I'm sure 5 times now but this is the longest I've stuck at it. I normally get yoyo results(1 wk off 1wk on) but have managed to lose 1stone 3lb so far. It's took me since sept but I'm a bit scared I'm going to go off the rails at Christmas. My mini goal to myself was to lose 2lb more to get my club ten award (meaning I've lost 10% body weight since start) but not sure I'm going to do it as was quite "bad" this week & have my work do next weekend. My weigh in's a wed night so I'm trying to be extra good from now til then to try & make up for the bad stuff at the weekend :) x

I do WW, and my weigh in is also on weds night, and on a 'good' wk, i have a good thurs and fri, treat sat night, carvery sunday, good mon and tues and back to scales weds night... followed by all i can eat treat to either commiserate or celebrate!
I won't take any bets today, but i THINK, i THINK, ive had a loss this week, my scales are definitely saying that, i wont hold my breath cause you know how i get ladies, but am hoping its that 1lb i have been dying to get rid of for a few weeks now!! fingers crossed ladies!!! xx

1.5lb is a good loss well done kimi you should be very proud :)
if you ever feel discontent with a loss, always look at it from the bigger picture... it may be 1.5lb this week or 0.5lb last week or whatever, but tot them up for the month and then that figure will definitely make you smile! the main thing is your losing and your going in the right direction!

aw well 1/2lb could of even been a slip up on the scales, but still have yourself a very good week and see what you can do for xmas!! i only have 1 meeting left... then we're having the next one off as boxing day, but back the week after as new years is over and done with!! so not got enough time to do toooo much damage and going to try really hard to not use xmas as an excuse. ill give myself xmas eve night, xmas day and partial boxing day but thats it! no other excuse!!

the thing is Tattty, if you know you always end up with a gain thats not as bad as putting on and not expecting. However, you can try and make a difference this year, see what you eat and realise you dont need to eat things... or just tell yourself leave the rubbish all till 1 day... and be good around it! Watching your weight, and healthy eating is a lifestyle change and you cant help it if things crop up in your lifetime. you cant ignore xmas or bdays or weddings etc, you just fit them in and work around it!! im sure it wont be as bad as you think! maybe just be a little stricter on yourself, the days coming up and the days after....? xx
