Cut out all snacking in between meals, that's the first rule! 6 out of 7 days eat healthy, especially cut out bread. On the 7th day treat yourself, works for me :)! I maintain size 8 to 10 this way. C x

Hi mrs turner to be, im like you and have 17 months also so ive decided to get tough!!! I used to be in a great gym i really enjoyed but it was expensive so i cancelled it. However i decided much action was needed and decided to watch what im eating, take my lunch to work so im not tempted by choc etc, I have re-joined that gym (expensive or not the weight needs to come off!!!!) as i know i love it there so i know i will go and hopefully that will shift the weight.

Don't cut out snacking that's just setting yourself up for failure! If you spread out your food to- breakfast, midmorning snack, lunch, midafternoon snack, dinner, before bed snack- but keep the calories down on main meals and your snacks healthy you'll find that you'll not feel hungry.

Drink lots of water, it's common to think you're hungry when you're actually just thirsty and it makes you feel full.

Eat lots of protein, it keeps you feeling fuller for longer.

If you binge, don't beat yourself up about it or punish yourself by not eating as much the next day, just move on or you'll feel like you've ruined it and give up completely.

    Portion control is key!

Now if only I could follow my own advice for any real length of time and I might see some results!

Swimming is probably the best exercise to do, you tone yourself up but don't tire as quick as you do at the gym because the water helps you. Also drinking lots of water should help as the reason most people snack is because they are dehydrated and mistake thirst for hunger xxx

The only time I ever managed to loose weight was by getting up going the kebab house for a pizza, go to work and munch skittles finish work eat some chips and mayo get drunk then home to bed.

I know my problem is not enough exercise but when you do 12 hour shifts on your feet you don't really feel like walking the mile and half to work. And my knee is playing up again from my injury last year so I can't do my fave sport, Ceroc.

I've been using an app on my phone or can get it on laptop etc. LINK REMOVED - MODS

Its actually really good and when i stuck to it i was losing 4lb a week.

At the moment i am really struggling, i am just so hungry all of the time. When i plan my food for the day using this app I am much better and know what i can have when. When you do plan in a treat its so much nicer that u've waited for it.

Im thinking about taking up jogging lol!

I did slimming world a while back and wil be starting again. The menu choice I followed was the extra easy and it was just that!! main things for me were bread, cheese & milk, and it focuses a lot on the dairy fat.
I was having cereal for breakfast with milk, tea with milk, cheese sandwiches for lunch.. slimming world restricts the amount of these you can have but gives you loads of Superfoods as Brilly has posted above.. these are free and you can eat as much of those as you like!! Its fantastic. I lost nearly 2 stone in about 5 months. x

I really would recommend it. Its so simple to do, as you are allowed to eat all your favourite things. You get a "syn" value each week, so you can either have sysn every day or save them all up for a particular day (if you are going out for dinner or hitting the town!). I'm actually looking forward to getting back onto it. Exercise wise I stepped up swimming to twice a week and used the wii fit (20 mins a day).. also if you have a trampoline they're amazing for it. One of the little mini trampolines are best - they only recommend ten minutes a day on there. mine came with a little book of workout exercises! Now like Holholholly above, I need to follow my own advice! xx

i have also beenusing the fitness pal app to keep me on track - the shakes take about a week to get used to but you will notice a big drop in the beginning then it is a steddy loss from there i use the tesco shakes its is under £4 for 6 days worth (you could not buy brekfast and lunch for that)

you just have to remeber to be strict with your self!!

ooooh LisaS that sounds like a plan! I thought it would be more expensive than that. I dont eat a lot for breakfast and lunch so I thought this diet would suit me for a while (until the wedding). Is there any kind of guide with the tesco stuff? Do you have to have a very low calorie dinner as well?

I am going to Tesco asap!

    Hi ladies...
I've got a long way to go before my wedding date... so i'm finding it very hard to stick to any sort of plan. I keep telling myself I'll start this week, and then I have a deadline for uni or something go on at work which means I end up snack on something from the uni or home which is usually rubbish... i'm slowly but surely picking up the weight... I've started cycling again and cycle to and from work which is about 2 miles each way down then up hills and picked up more hours at work (waitressing an dbar work) but i'm still stuggling with the food balance especially with a 7am shift start or a midnight finish. The shakes sound like a good idea and I may give them a go any other suggestions?

i definately recommend green tea, 3-4 cups per day, drink plenty of water, and if you arent very good a portion control and always find yourself hungry, eat 5-6 small meals per day. Cutting out bread really helps or even switching from white to wholemeal, but always keep it down to 2 slices of bread per day. Pineapples and pineapple juice is also very good, i used to drink a glass of it after each meal and it helps to break down the fat. Alcohol is another one to watch, you will be surprised the effect it has on your body in the weight department. Also try and do at least 30 mins of exercise 5 x a week (at least) x

Proper liquorice (not all sorts!!) like henry goodes or panda... really helps with water retention which can be mistaken for fat. Just 5/6 bits a day.

Sweetners in your tea instead of sugar.... limit bread.... lots of nuts and seeds...... exercise for half a d day (minimum) but always have a "naughty day" once a week to kick start your body again when the weight loss slows. x

    Here comes the bride......

with the app i use you put i all your details and it tells u have many calories you should be eating most foods are already stored in the app and it also tracks you exersize means you can really kep track of all your intake .

you can pretty much eat what you want in the evenings as lomng as you keep trak of it and remember to do a little bit of exersize

I am on my H2B's clean lean diet, he has to get down to about 4 - 5% body fat for his body building competitions. The key is if its been modified/mucked about with....dont eat it.
Clean food is food that is still true to form when you eat it. e.g oats, chicken breasts, fish, lean red meat (steak) vegetables, fruit and rice. Sweet potatoes are used instead of normal potatoes as they contain less starchy carbs (which unless burnt off, turn to sugar... then fat.
Skimmed milk is ok, but no cheese, butter, etc....nuts are ok, but a very small quantity as they have natural fats in.
