    hi although im not massivly over weight, i do need to loose idelly 2 stone in three months, do you think it could be done, with out starving myself? if so do you have any hints tips and low fat recipes i could try, i dont know where to start!

    The healthiest way to lose weight is to reduce portion size, reduce the amount of chocolate/cake/pizza etc, increase the amount of exercise you do and to drink loads of water.

    Try not eating CARBS in the evening, when ur body thinks its not getting ne food ( like ova nite) it stores it so making it harder 2 lose weight, instead of bread, try rice cakes or pittas, smaller portions. I do high impact aerobics where i can burn off ne where from 300-600 calories in an hour and a half, swimming is good, exercising and using muscles all @ the same time( so while ur swimming ur toning). And like dove sed lots of water, GOOD LUCK X

    The best thing I ever did was join slimming world!! You can eat LOADS and I lost weight very quickly! I felt fantastic! I disagree with non-carbs and silly dieting, they NEVER worked for me....... I didn't do an awful lot of exercise too so I imagine if you was to exercise lots while following SW then you'd loose it even quicker. xx

    Agree with slimming world-lost 10lbs in first week-3 stone in 6 months! Unfortunately stopped going though-skint- and put back a stone in a year! Was never hungry though-and ate loads of pasta-which is practically all I eat anyway!

    Antiewoo...... I left a few years ago I lost 2 stone, loved it..... Met me fella, left SW and ate crap for years and put it back on...... It did take 3 years to put back on though...... I'm debating going back.... It's a fantastic program!

    Different ways work with different people, the problem with losing weight quickly is ur more likely 2 gain it again quickly, thats all just giving tips that aren't dieting, i cant diet 2 save my life lol but found that cutting the carbs helped me, thats not 2 say it will help some1 else, and aerobics is gr8 yeah im exercising but its fun, get 2 c all my friends there also X

    Yep-best I ever did-and really easy! Most of my weight gain is alcohol (bad girl! lol) and cheese! Apart from that I still kind of keep to the rules! Really got to start again-next week!! :)

    Same here auntiewoo...... Lol..... I'm starting again on tuesday and get my figure back and feel great again! haha

    I didn't put it on quickly.... It took 3 years! but I agree different things work for different people hee hee x

    i joined weight watchers and in about 10wks roughly i've lost a stone, ive tried to do it myself but i went on a diet for a week and then went back to eating rubbish again. i think weight watchers worked for me but everyone is different.

    slimming world is great also try going for walks i used to walk everywhere and since i stopped the weight has crept back, also if you have a wii get just dance i got it the other day and its fun but is very active x

    I think it's different for everyone, but these tips have helped me:

    1) Caffeine increases your metabolism
    2) Building muscle, means you burn more calories even when resting
    3) Snacking doesn't keep up your metabolism, it adds more calories to your allowance

    It's all about burning off more than you're eating which doesn't have to be as drastic as it sounds - you can easily work out what you burn off while resting/sitting and then what additional activities you will do and gear your daily calorie intake to take that into account.

    i did the special K diet and lost a stone in about a month. It was boring and very un healthy and when i started eating normal meals i put it all back on, so don't be fooled by the lady in the red swimming costume!! Good luck. x

    So one of the best tips my personal trainer in Edinburgh gave was to increase the number of steps I take each day outside of the gym or any purposeful activity. Weight loss he said is a result of the energy I burn exceeding the energy I intake from food and this is greatly helped by increasing the number of steps each day. Simple and very effective!
