Hey! :) I only joined today so still learning about this great website!! I got engaged in 2007 but since getting pregnant and having my gorgeous little boy last year and moving into our first home together, we've not even thought about a wedding!!! We are now thinking of getting married in maybe August, September time in 2012 and would like to do it abroad. I have never been abroad which will make it even more exciting! We have left ourselves plenty of time as we have a very small budget. Since I started browsing around websites I have noticed many people aren't even taking bookings for that far in advance which is making it more difficult! Some destinations we are thinking about are Santorini, Barbados, St Lucia...maybe a little too hopeful lol!! But we are going alone (well, with our son). Please could people give me some ideas, money saving tips, recommendations and past experience - ANYTHING!!! :) Thanks!

We're getting married in Cyprus 2012 in august and didn't have any probe bookig the venue it's jut the flights or accomendation you can't book til about a year before there are lots of good packages about too xx

Hey Rose we are thinking of getting married abroad too. Lalabunni is right go to the travel agents with a bunch of questions cause they arrange weddings abroad all the time and will recommend the right sort of destination that your looking for. We have just got this years brochures to browse through the prices so that we have an idea on what to save and to let our guests know how much they need to save up. It is a bit of a pain having to wait til next year for the prices but for now you can look at the lovely destinations and dream.
