Hi guys, I'm quite new to the site. Me and my fiancée are wanting to look for a venue in the Midlands somewhere as our families are practically from opposite ends of the country. We thought it would make more sense to do it central so neither family has to travel too far. The problem with this is we are not from that area and so have been relying on the internet to find venues. Most search websites don't give you a clue to pricing or have many photos and its proving to be quite time consuming. I was wondering if anyone could recommend any venues that are reasonable priced. Most of the venues that come up on search engines are either extremely expensive or they don't suit our requirements. We don't have a budget as such but the more expensive the longer it will take us to save up. We will have about 105 guests at the wedding and we'd like a wedding breakfast for them. We may have a few more evening guests and would like a buffet or hog roast for that. We'd ideally like it to have accommodation as well or a hotel nearby for our guests. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Many thanks in advance!!!!!

the best thing to do is Google Midlands wedding venues and see what comes up as its difficult to know the sort of area you are looking for.

my uk venue was in rugby

We are getting married at The Courtyard Hotel in Stanwick (nr Wellingborough), Felix house in Cambridge is also nice, we didn't choose it because we wanted a live band and the room would be a little small for that.

Thanks guys. I have googled and also been on search engines but there just seems so many to choose from and most of them don't tell you about pricing. I was just wondering about recommendations. I'll have a look at that one nat. thanks.

I'm not sure about venues but it might be worth going to the national wedding show at the NEC in Birmingham next month? :) x

Drayton Manor, Lea Marston Hotel, Moor Hall Hotel and Moxhull hall - have been to weddings at all of these and the couples couldn't praise them enough, all except Moor Hall are a few minutes from junction 9 of the M42, Moor ~Hall is possibly another 15 minutes from there

just email any venue you like and ask them to send you a brochure with prices ..... some will send this back via email other it will come through the post
    means you can sift through

you can also mention your numbers and anything else you are thing you would like ... some you will discount just because they cant accommodate you
