Just wondered what sort of info was in everyone's venue contract? Ours came through the post yesterday and it just states the wedding date, information about giving them final numbers for food and accommodation and that's about it - nothing to do with the function room we've booked or the food packages etc.
I'm a bit wary about signing it because of getting messed around by our first venue so was just wondering if it was normal for the contract not to go into such detail?

Ours has wedding date, guest numbers, timings for meal etc, details on what's included in our package such as table linen, master of ceremonies,, cake stand etc, payment information, dates to sort out menu choices, final numbers etc, details of bridal suite, information for discounted guest rooms, then terms and conditions of payment, cancellations etc. Sorry that's long lol i just fetched my contract so i didn't miss anything out. For the food packages, our contract just states what menu we have to choose from and when we have to give them our decision. The list of food isn't on the contract, if that's what you meant xxx

I'm has everything like Joanna I won't sign anything that's got less then that as contact is about things that your paying for, plus to tell about payment if you not pay what the place will do about it and info you need to know about how they run things.
