We went to Ernest for my h2b it was 18ct gold and 400, mine was from h Samuel and 399 I knew it was the one as soon as I saw it and it was my exact size an L it is a wedding ring with lots of stones in it I love it, think a lot of people go over budget yes mines only 9ct white gold but I'm not bothered I don't like gold and didn't want a plain band too boring unless you have a bling engagement ring x

think it depends on what you want, i got a max budget of around 250 for both ours as we onlly want very plain bands, i want the thinnest plainest white gold band they got as i have really small fingers and already have my lush engagment ring, and hubby2b only wants a plain band as hes a chef so does not want expencive one if it gets lost due to having to take it off lots

My Engagement Ring cost £524 and My Wedding Ring I'm guessing will cost about the same or just under H2Bs Wedding Ring about £200 n something So Overall Deffo going to be in the £1,000 or just over for rings But they are for Life and If I want the best will have to pay higher prices to get what I want But Overall Will never be buying another ring as I don't need to unless I get an Eternity Ring Later On My Rings are Palladium H2Bs Titanium with Blue Carbon Fibre Palladium apart of the Platinum Family but different also so High Prices Deffo

I think it depends on how you spread your budget. As we got our venue for free, and saved on things like flowers and bartered with loads of stuff we had more cash within the budget to play with for my ring.

It does depend on what's important to you! I really want a beautiful good quality ring as I will look at it every day... just like I do with my enegagement ring! I have two gold rings on my other hand from Italy with diamonds and sapphires but they have got scratched and bent over the years.

I'm opting for a shaped diamond channel set platinum ring that's quite narrow... looking at some of the elsa peretti one's from Tiffany's *& co.
