Hi ladies, I've been looking at wedding rings and although we don't Marry for 13 months I couldn't help myself. When is the best time to purchase your rings? X

There's no 'best time' really - its different for everyone.

Most of OUR customers buy their rings between 9 months and 18 months before the wedding. There are several reasons for this including the fact that gold and other precious metals have been increasing in price massively and seem likely to continue doing so. Once you pay a deposit with us we fix the price so you won't be afected by the metal increases. So the earlier you buy your rings the cheaper they will be. Other companies may also offer this facility.

In addition to the price issue many of our customers choose early because they see the rings as THE most important purchase for their wedding. Your rings will be with you throughout the marriage but all the other items you spend a fortune on will be long gone by your first anniversary. The only other long-lasting wedding purchase is usually the photos/videos.

We put our order in in October last year, 11 months before the wedding. We were really pleased we did as the cost of Platinum has gone up considerably since then! Personally, I'd get them as soon as you can, or at least, as Smooch said, get your order in now with a company that will hold the price even if the cost of precious metals goes up. Hx
