i have an appointment for an online rings company to come to see us on friday to look at rings, has anyone used any of these companies and already got their rings, i am abit weary of paying for something when you dont actually go into a shop to buy them x

Hi Shellay. I've heard mixed reviews about the ring companies that visit, but not used them myself. But I think the rings are lovely and well-made (but quite expensive), but you definitely get the hard sell, which some people find a bit difficult in their own house.

But as long as you're prepared to say no to them, and only go for something when you're sure then you should be ok :)

I looked at their website the other day but got bored as far too many things to read about, lol. We are gettin ours from H.Samuel, but not a set as i want stones in my band, so think my one is about £179 and h2b will probably pick out something for £50! :)

Well mine's looking like its gonna be from Preston's of Bolton for £1500- trying hunt around for one slightly cheaper yet - it's difficult because I need a shaped ring and want diamonds in and I'm really picky.
Fella saw one in same place at same price but has found a nicer and much cheaper one in local town jewellers for about £400 so I'm hoping I can do the same.

Good luck with that!! :) The one i quite like from H Samuel is shaped but my engagement isn't so i chose something else. But that was about £200, but also in white gold, i don't suit yellow gold! So my ring would never be that expensive anyway. :)
