Personally I dont think there is an average price for rings as it depends what shop you go to, where you live and what you have metal and stone wise, everywhere is different! Ive seen some for £20 and some for £1000 so the prices vary ALOT so it really depends on what you like and what kind you want!!

Im thinking white gold or platinum, im thinking diamonds that would sink a ship, im thinking a knight in white satin, im thinking a smoky aroma with a hint of birch, im thinking Audrey Hepburn with a touch of the shakes, catherine denerve, janet street porter, isabella rossillini, ivana trump, names names NAMES darling!
Well thats got me thinking.

hahaha to be fair my ring was white gold with diamonds in a chaneel setting and it came in thicker widths you just have to shop around to be honest, mine was £450.
However i would consider getting them sooner rather than later as the cost of metals is soaring! if you like platinum then maybe consider palladium as its from the same ground as platinum but half the cost

he wanted the same as mine with diamonds but instead went for a plain band for £300 as he doesn't want to loose the diamonds
i'd check out the high street jewellers to get an idea for style and then go to the online companies. you could also try ************ who bring the rings to your house, again it might be worth looking at the female styles if your wanting diamonds as *********** hand make them and can make the band thicker etc they also design from scratch if that helps you to get the perfect ring

Btw you might want to change the date on your profile as you said you're getting married next year but your profile says 2014. If you let us know which is the correct date we can add it to the wedding calendar.

We got ours from the shop with two male names W J they are both white gold with a small yellow gold line running round the middle, both a bargain at £75 for mine and £69 for his (his was in stock mine had to be ordered) xx

We got ours from the home visit company with the kissy name. Really great as H2B felt more comfortable and relaxed choosing in our own home. He went for a 9ct yellow gold band with white gold middle in a 6mm depth. It has a matt finish and is super smooth inside - I love it as does he. His was £695 - a little bit pricey but was within our budget so was H2B's decision in the end.

Sorry to be boring but I can tell you fairly accurately what the average price of a gents ring is in the UK because we sell over 3000 men's rings a year so we've got a pretty good idea.
Over the last 12 months the average retail price of a gents ring from us was £423. This avarage includes all mens rings we sold including Platinum, Palladium and Gold. The average cost of a 9 carat gold ring is about £315, a Platinum ring would average £1000 and a Palladium ring would be about £395. The most popular metal for mens rings is Palladium.
However mens rings start at about £200 and can go up as high as you like. You can buy men's rings on the high street or the internet from £50 but be careful as they are not always solid gold. A mans gold ring would normally weigh at least 5 grams amd the scrap value of 9carat gold is around £12 per gram so if anyone is selling a 'gold' ring for less than £100 it is extremely unlikely to be solid gold.
Our most expensive gents ring over the last year was £7340 - Platinum with 3 carats of fine diamonds. This was a customer in Scotland
The high street chains tend to have limited ranges for men so if you want something unusual or unique we recomend you use a company like us or one of the hundreds of independant jewellers who can make anything you like. Obviously the more unusual the design the more costly it is likely to be.
