I've found my perfect wedding ring!!! It's 9 ct White gold with sparkle cut diamond setting!

My engagement ring is an 18ct White gold ring! Is it going to cause a problem if I don't have an 18ct wedding ring to match!!we asked the well known jewellery company to look into having it made into 18ct and it's over 3 times the price!!

    I really don't think it's worth it!!!

    Advice please?? Xxx

I'll try and find a thred where this was discussed, i think the expert ring company said that its a myth that two metals are a problem together - im not sure how well the colours would match as i think they are slightly different

There are so many people out there who will tell you
    what you can't do.
What you have to do is turn around and say, "watch me"!!

i was in the same boat i have an 18ct white gold wedding ring and couldn't decide if i should have the under budget option of 9ct or the over budget 18ct the same company told me it wouldn't matter which i picked as they would both look the same and the only way to tell the difference would be the hall mark i went with 18ct in the end because we are going to pay in instalments so wont miss the extra money xx

Hi no it won't matter, the only difference is that your 9ct wedding ring may need replated more often than your 18ct. The 9ct white gold goes yellow quicker, that's the only difference. Will see if I can find the thread where this was discussed before x

I know that they say you should not have two different types of metal as they rub together and wear, but I have also recently heard that the ct makes a difference as well - How true that is though I dont know. I would ask around, or look it up on google x

Kay87 I have just bumped a thread up, it tells you all about it and it says only when it's in bullions does ct make a difference, when put into ring form it doesn't matter x
