Hi all I've seen the ring I want! It's amazing! But as my E ring is 18 ct, my wedding ring needs to be 18 ct... The price weighs in at almost £800 :( The ring is at Beeeva brooks... Do u think you can haggle with them? Thanks!

They'll usually do a deal if you get your H2B's from there too ? Cause I got my e.ring from the place I'll be getting my w.ring, I get 20% off my w.ring and 10% off H2B w.ring aswell :-) xxx

There's nothing to stop you haggling anywhere really. I haggled in Morrisons the other night there and managed to save a fiver lol. (the 2 items in question were already a lot cheaper than they ought to be, RRP of £50 for the both got them for £10 in the end... so 80% off hehe)
I say just go for it cause what do you have to lose?
Just walk in and chat with the advisor behind the till, tell him/her you're in love with the ring but on a tight budget and do they have any room for a discount, they'll maybe say they can give a certain percentage. At this point ask if they cant go any better than that, the answer is generally no. Now you ask (very nicely mind, don't want to insult them like they're not good enough) if there's a chance that you could speak to a manager as you were hoping for a slightly better discount. When you meet the manager introduce yourself "Hi, I'm Amy ..." shake hands find out their name.
Explain your predicament that you love the ring, its ideal to match your E ring but you just don't have enough leeway in the budget and you're hoping to get a brilliant price on it. Never reveal the price you're intending on going to, let them make you an offer then bring out the big guns (ie the budget...) to push it just a little bit lower
Honestly sounds sad but I've seen a fair few of these programmes on tv "how to get a deal" and it actually does work LOL

Haha haggling in Morrisons ! Brilliant ! You can also throw in the whole - 'Well this company has said this price for a very similar ring, but I would really prefer to use your company...' blah *compliment* blah.... A lot of jewellers staff get commission on sales so anything is better than nothing for them ! xxx
That's definitely a good idea and you have nothing to lose by asking or trying to haggle :)

Definitely try the above, and also, have you considered Hatton Garden/Birmingham Jewellery Quarter? I don't know what the ring is like, but the company you've mentioned can be a tad pricey. I'm getting a custom-made platinum band with 0.25ct D VVS diamonds for £950; a similar ring would have cost more on the high-street and not been custom-made. For an 18ct white gold one I was quoted £600.

I always say.. you don't know unless you ask :) I got £25 off my fairy light back drop package but i daren't haggle on things that are over a few hundred quid, h2b can do that as I'm rubbish at it really lol- he couldnt get the price down at the venue, but got us loads of freebies :) his next task is the videographer... x

ohhhhhh we haggle ......
my wedding ring is white gold set with 2cts diamonds ... the Jewell was closing as it was re locating .. my ring was in the sale
originally $5500 .. sale price ...$2500 .... haggled to $1100
mr lala bought me a bracelet one set with 2.2 crt diamonds ... haggled down to $800
and a few years ago we bought 3 rings all diamond set for $1000 ( good thing was at that time it was $2 to £1 ) they have been valued at about £5000 for the three !!
my philosophy is the item is never going to go up in price because you have asked for discount so you have nothing to lose by asking
Hatton Garden is brilliant thats where we got our rings from and we got my ring for £200 which is brilliant. I only wanted a plain 18ct White Gold as my engagement ring is quiet big so didnt want anything that was too overpowering.
Also ive got free dipping for my E ring and my wedding ring for the rest of my life so thats great for me :)
Cant wait until I become Mrs K

we got ours from bham jewellery quarter - saved £500 on H2B ring by having it made rather than getting it from beaver brooks (just took a picture with us) and saved £225 on mine by getting it there too. Got so excited that we had found our perfect rings that we forgot to haggle at the end to save more money! spent £1150 in total. H2B wants to try and get some more knocked off when we go back up to pay final balance but im not sure it will work now think we missed our chance! however have got a free rhodium plating on my engagement ring and free resizing so not too bad i suppose x

You might find they're putting up the price just to lower it so it seems like a "bargain"
Was: £1000 Now: £500 (but started off that that anyway) lol
