Definitely not to far away, it gives you plenty of time to plan and gives your guests plenty of time to save up for the trip :)

Hi and congrats! a good thing about getting married abroad is everything is done for you! i would go into a travel agents and they will sit with you for a while going through everything and they will give u a idea of the price, i should think thats the easiest option. Before you go it may be an idea to think of a number of guests to get a accurate estimate x

I've bumped the cyprus thread for you because it's the biggest thread on destination weddings. It'll have a lot of info on planning that should be really helpful for you.

Hi congrats on ur engagement, 2 years is perfect time I think. We got engaged may 2011 and r getting married may 2013! Enough time to save and not too long to get everything planned perfectly.
I made a wedding scrap book which has all my ideas in, I started off with going to a wedding fayre picked up all the brochures leaflets freebies ect; cut things out and Stuck em in! Love it!
Destinations hmmmm, so many to choose from... U should start by going to travel agents get some brochures, Find out what the best distinctions are for November! Budget is also a big factor! And don't forget about guests- how far are they willing travel? how much will they b willing to spend?
my top destinations if I was getting married abroad would be; st Lucia, Kenya, Florida, Hawaii xxx

I recommend looking into destinations further afield as well there are just so many options. Are you set on getting married with sun and see, because if you aren't there are some amazing options. There's elopements in NYC which are amazing. Or my personal favorite are San Fransisco City Hall weddings - that place is amazing. Highly recommend g00gling it, even if it's just to be noisy and look at other peoples photos ;)
