Haha, it's taken me this long to even decide on anything for myself!

Have to say I'm feeling more in the wedding spirit again at the moment, had a really quiet couple of months wedding-wise but getting back in the swing of it now xx

Over the next few months I want to order flowers, guest book and a few more gifts. Then sort out centre pieces and decorations. It hurts seeing so much money leave your account every month but I just keep telling myself it's going to be easier on us in the long term when it's just suppliers we need to pay off nearer the day rather than paying for all the other bits and bobs at the same time! x

That's lovely of your grandpa and so helpful, I'm sure lots of other family members would be happy to do the same :) at least going for the slightly cheaper honeymoon it takes a bit of a weight off affording it :) x

I think we may have decided on our centre pieces!


I like the lemon ones. I want the bouquets to have lemon in them to tie my little flower girl in and also gyp, so they would go really well I think. Potentially would have them on a tree trunk slice, with hessian/twine/lace around the jars to 'rustic' them up and I already have little wooden hearts with 'love' written on them which will be scattered on the tables. Thinking of maybe having a few glass candles as well like in the lime photo.

Would work out fairly cheap as well which is a bonus! The brother of one of my bms can get hold of tree trunk slices for us as he is a tree surgeon, jars would be cheap from somewhere like H0bbycr@ft (thinking jars we could save at home would be too small), lemons obviously cheap and I'd just ask the venue to chop them on the day, can get the gyp/other flowers relatively cheap from the bay and of course water is free! Candle holders not expensive either.

Now to decide how we're going to do our tables so we know how many of everything we need... xx

Thanks April. It was still fairly expensive... but a good £1000+ cheaper than we were looking at for Jamaica. Plus we've got a super duper room included in that price rather than just settling for a bog standard room :) xx

It's worth still paying some expense for your honeymoon, but even better to know you've saved a thousand pound! I can't get over that room ha! It's amazing x

It was nowhere near as daunting as I had imagined! The lady who was looking after me was soo nice and made me feel really comfortable. The main thing that worried me was feeling self conscious in my underwear infront of someone I didn't know, but she left me alone in the changing area to step into each dress and told me to just pull the curtain back when I was in and just needed doing up.

The most daunting thing is probably seeing rails and rails of dresses and being told to have a look and pick out whatever you like... where do you start?! But she was soon able to tell which styles I warmed to more and was then able to pull dresses out for me that she thought I might like to try on xx

Thank you ladies :) MrsK the flowers are made from a range of different fabrics which I think helps soften them up a little bit!

I had what I thought was a good idea but OH doesn't seem bowled over by it. I thought I could order an extra small cream bouquet (only £12.99 plus delivery), chop some of the flowers off and use them as buttonholes. OH doesn't think they are very manly but is a flower ever manly??

I reckon they would look really good and obviously tie in really well! They're having pocket squares to match the bridesmaids also (one of each colour) so I think having those as buttonholes would look lovely. I will work my magic on him!!

We will still be sending out formal invitations and requesting RSVPs by either post, email, in person or there is a place on the website to return RSVPs too. Not really fussed how we get them returned, as long as they are! Haha. I will message you the pass now xx

Thanks Emma :) to be honest we're expecting most people to RSVP in person or via text or whatever, but people like my grandparents might like to be old fashioned and actually return theirs via post. We won't be paying for the stamps though! x

Yeah I think we will..the majority of people won't even use the envelope but they won't cost very much so might as well xx
