Spoke to OH about this and he thinks mints and chocs will be nice together or some sort of mint chocolate so going to look into it :) x

Just been let down with the town hall we wanted our ceremony in :( we were planning a 5pm ceremony but they have just informed me they only conduct Saturday ceremonies until 12pm :( now I need to find somewhere else to get married. Liverpool town hall is beautiful but it is further to travel than we originally planned so I don't know what to do :( plus this may now push our costs up :(

It's about a 20 minute drive but the original ceremony venue was about 2 minutes as it was only 2 roads away. There are good and bad points to the distance;

Good points; H2B's family live on the other side of the city to mine so this way we are meeting in the middle rather than being on my side and it will kill more time between the around 5.30pm ceremony end and the 7pm evening start.

Bad; If people travel into town by train they will need to travel by train again to the reception venue and if people bring cars they will have to pay to park around the city, which they won't want to do, plus me and OH were planning to go to the beach that our venue overlooks for photos in hour and a half we had, but we won't have that much time now :(

I can't understand it either, it is only a small council that the wedding would be with but I still thought they would do later weddings. I am pretty sure that when I orginally checked they did up to 5.30pm so I think they might have recently changed.

We had our engagement shoot quite near there so they might look the same, not really any woodland though as it is right in the middle of the city.

I am thinking of moving the ceremony back to 4.30 which would then give us 2 hours after the ceremony, we were planning on arrival drinks so people would probably arrive at the venue at 5.30 with arrival drinks being served until 6.30pm. Or would this be too much time? Just thinking if there is traffic or anything the extra 30 minutes would be useful, it also means that we could still go to the beach! xx

Yeah I think the 2 hours will be fine, any less and I think we would feel rushed! That's providing I'm right in thinking the ceremony lasts 20 - 30 mins! I think I have asked our DJ to arrive at 5.30 to set up so he will be there and I am sure our guests would be allowed into our reception room rather than standing at the bar when they arrive so tje DJ can start early. I think I am just panicking because I am having to change my plans now! xx

That's a good idea! Thinking about it I don't think many people will mind as it is only close family coming to the wedding and a few of them will car share, but it is just a worry because I'm having to change my plans x

Just spotted these BM dresses £40 from J@n3 N0rm@n, not sure if I should order them or not, what do people think of the look of them? They are a bit more expensive than the other ones I've seen but they are still a bargain so it doesn't really matter!

Just wasn't sure about the flower and the bit of material that kind of hangs down but I do really like them! They are my exact colour so they are pretty much perfect! The others I was looking at are from China so it saves stressing about the quality too. x

Yeah I see what you mean :) thanks! Will ask my girls what they think and order them! Do you think it would look ok on a 16 year old? Struggling as to whether to get her the same as the others (21 & 24) or a different type but the same colour, she does look and dress older than she is though! x

Just booked a meeting with the lady making my flowers for 7th Feb, that is when I will decide the final colours of everything! So exciting!

Wow I would have never though of there for BM dresses! They are really, really lovely! And a great price. I think you should go for it.

I the 16yo will be ok. I was a bridesmaid for my mam at 14 and had a halter neck dress so had it stitched up, but with that being strapless I think it will be fine :) I'm sure she'll probably be wearing a padded bra to go with it lol. Is she only small? For younger ones i hink you could maybe get away with a size 6 unless she's well, err, developed lol. Might be worth trying to find a store for her though to see. X

Yes she's very slim and small in height too but she does dress as if she's 18 lol! Not well developed lol so she usually wears a size 6/8 so if I can get it in a 6 I think that would be perfect. I never thought of there either but I thought I'd do a full search of lilac BM dresses and it came up! Was so happy! Definitely going to try to get them ordered before the sale ends! x

I can imagine! Once spring comes around again you will probably find loads as those colours will be back in shops then, fingers crossed! x

Ooh I may have to have a look at their lilacs! I think I am pretty much settled on these ones now though! It is a strange one, there are a lot of tops and dresses but you don't often see BM dresses in pastel blue, it is a lovely colour though and your BM's will look gorgeous x

That's a gorgeous dress, I love the flowery detail. I loved the other dresses but I think these ones have a bit more about them if you know what I mean x

I think that's why I love them, I always wanted something plain but with a little bit of detailing and this fits it perfectly. Plus it has a strap so no risk of them falling down lol! x

I didn't even think until I was trying dresses on on Sunday and I was having to pull some of them up, then it hit me how small 2 of my BM's are and realised how much of a no strapless dresses would be lol! x

Great news! MOH loves the dress! Think she may love it more than I do lol! So I am all set to order them, we are going shopping together on Sunday though to see if we can find something similar for her to try on to see the sizing, although thinking of getting her a size bigger than she usually is and pay for alterations if needed. Going to order in the next week or so, yayyy! x

No measurements but I think I will email them to see if they can provide me with them just to be sure. It does say they would recommend you go up a size, also there is a chance she could get pregnant so a size bigger might be best xx
