I know it’s a bit of a way off yet but I want to start making a note of things I’ve planned and stuff that needs to be done, plus what money I’ve spent etc. I want some sort of wedding planner/organiser book, I’ve seen a few on bay of e etc but not sure which ones are good, can anyone recommend a good one? Thanks x

I've actually got the wedding plandroid on my phone its free and quite good. I also have all the photos and using the table planner on here.
The budget planner on here is a little rubbish, it doesn't calculate pence (on such a small budget pence is important) so I have set my budget at 100,000 instead of 1000. Then am putting everything in without the decimal place and any extra to the budget is inputted as a negative figure.

Ive made one AND brought one for neat lol
The one I made I just got a folder from tesco, some card in my colours for backing and some clear plastic folder thingy's. Then everytime I see something I like I cut it out and stick it in.
The note book has all my suppliers in that Ive found weather Ive used them or not and has little notes about what I want and how etc etc
Then when Ive booked and decided on something it all goes into my NEAT book which I brought lol
I'll put a link on your wall to it in a sec if you wish once you've excepted my friend request

I've devised my own spreadsheet (I love spreadsheets, run my life and finances on them at home and at work). I keep tabs on what needs doing and when, what has been booked, the budgeted amount for each element of the wedding and the actual price agreed, plus how much deposit paid. I'm a little OCD and a complete control freak ;)

I've then got a ring binder with subject dividers with all my signed booking agreements for the service providers.

I have one, just because i think they are cute, i got it from clint on cards, ebay have some really nice ones. But to be honest most of my plans and budgets are done on a spreadsheet, with hard copies in a file, in case of system failure. lol

    Save your money, and do your own spreadsheet;

    Guest list
First Last,Save the date printed?,All Day Invite ,Evening Only Invite,RSVP, No. of STD’s/invites,No. of Guests (ceremony),
No. of Guests (wedding breakfast),Adults, no. of kids under 13, no. of kids under 2

    budget
Item, Budget, Final Spend, Running Spend, to pay, saving

    Photos
    Group shots, No. Of people

I also have a corsage list and a top table list as well.

There's also a timings sheet, along with the name and address of the supplier involved with each task. I.E. room decoration; start time and a finish time. Also included is emails and phone numbers, to save trawling through the various websites looking for a contact address. As I have it now, It's all there, at a glance. same with postal addresses and song list.

Little tip if you're doing your own invites and printing your own envelopes; Set up your your postal addresses list in the same font that you want to print in. It saves a hell of a lot of time later on.

Your timings will be totally governed by your ceremony time, and when it will finish. Everything else will be bookended by this, so work backwards or forwards accordingly.

I have a handbag sized planner which goes everywhere with me. I got it off the bay for next to nothing but its great when u are out and about and something pops into head! For at home, i have a folder with separate sections for everything. Each section has its own purpose (i.e Bride, Groom, Bridesmaids, Venue, Cake) etc and I put everything in there. Yet to really start booking things up so at the mo its mostly clippings and ideas but u get the gist! I also have a section on the pc just fot the wedding which includes the budget planner (similar to the one on here). xx
