Had some worrying news today. Basically we had found a photographer, a friend of my sister who would do us a discount; 120 page album, cd, prints and 1 on canvas for £560 which seemed realy good. We went to see her at a wedding fayre last week, and her work looked great. However, just found out today that after we left the fayre someone turned up to have a go at her because the work she was showing isnt her's! It's another photographer's! she was passing it off as her own. So realy not keen on going with her now! luckily we hadnt paid anything yet. So its back to finding one again :(

And she is a friend of your sister?!!! What a cheek! Thank goodness you were there and hadn't handed over any money!

Good luck finding a new, honest photographer :o)

I dont know the full details yet tbh, gonna ring my sister and see what she knows. Something should be done tho, she's taking credit for someone else's hard work. We have had another quote for £500 but it's only for a cd, and Im not sure if thats a bit pricey for a cd only?

I wouldn't be able to tell you because my father in law to be does it as a hobby so he will be doing some professional ones. I will just be putting disposables on the tables too so people can take their own. x

Nic why don't you try your local college. I went there to their photography tutors and asked them to ask their students if they fancied a job. Told them I wanted them all on a disk and they would have the rights to use them for their portfolio and I would give them a written reference for any future jobs plus £40 on the day and £20 for the disc afterwards. I was going to use one girl who was FANTASTIC!! But father-in-law decided to do it for us. xxx

developing desposables is expensive and you always end up with loads of pics of peoples feet and stuff! silly pics, in the days when everyone pretty much as a mobile and digital camera, what we are doing is having a laptop set up in the corner, with loads of usb cables, that way at the end of the night everyone can download the pics they have taken (gonna get someone who knows pcs to be in charge) and it wont cost us a penny to go through and pick out the ones we like :)
