Can anyone recommend a good make up artist in the bucks area? Im looking to do a wedding make up trial soon and not sure where to start. I don't wear a lot of make normally so don't want to go over board, but want to look good on the day.

I want make up that will stay put as well..... any suggestions?

I'm using one based in Reading, Berks, who as far as I know will travel; she isn't cheap (£185 for make-up) and I haven't had my trial yet, but I went with her because I liked her portfolio (loads of really natural-looking make-up which is what I wanted; though she has done fashion shoots so can also do more dramatic make-up), and I did get to see her 'in action' at a wedding fair, and liked the result.

Let me know if you'd like me to pass her details on x

Ok thank you - i will see if i can find one a little closer to home first, if not she sounds great. Do you have much booked for your wedding? :-)

Have you tried going to a big dept store . You can quite often get a makeover at a counter and some of them will do it on the day or be able to recommend someone

if you decide to use make-up artist i would defo recommend someone who uses air brush make-up! its so light i had my trial a few weeks back and she did make-up in the morning and i went out that night and it was still perfect when i came home! but didnt feel like i was wearing make-up at all (im also not a make-up girl) the lady doing mine is charging 325 a head for make-up but would normally be £35 . i know i live millions of miles away im not suggesting mine lol just a thought for when your looking. i found her through recommendation and she has a page on book of face so i could see her work and what people had written. just shop around :) make sure you do the trial though i wasnt going too then thought but what if she turns up on the day a complete amateur and turns me into a clown!! fear was enough to warrant the £20 trial charge!!

One BIG day will lead to lots of little happy days !!
