    Hiya girls

Just wondering when you thinki should send invites out? My mum says 6 weeks before but I think longer than that. Most of our guests will be coming from wales (we now live in Wiltshire) and also our wedding is a Friday so people will need to book the day off work.
My mum keeps saying etiquette kas etiquette! You don't send before 6 weeks ahead.

Would you send all day and evening invites the same time?

    Thank you xxx

6 weeks before is the latest I am expecting rsvp hun. You should send them as soon as possible if you have guests coming from another region and like you say as it's a weekday, some people will need to book it off. It is definitely NOT etiquette to SEND them 6 weeks before. When are you supposed to give numbers for your meal if you have sit down? you have to take that into account as well, some venue require 2 months notice for numbers.

I am sending mine out at the beginning of April with an rsvp date of 15th May-approx 4 1/2 months before the wedding. My wedding is on a Friday too so i want to give people plenty of time to make arrangements plus if i get any 'regrets' i will have plenty of time to bump people from the evening list before the evening invites go out beginning of July xxx

i sent mine at the end of jan with an rsvp of 9/30th march (day and evening invitations respectively) for our wedding in may! So i'm expecting day rsvps in by 8 weeks before and evening by 5 weeks before. My venue needs the numbers 4 weeks before the wedding so sending them 6 weeks before would have been impossible! xxx

    Thanks girls.

We have to give final numbers 2 weeks before the big day. We are getting married Friday 5th October. So I'll need RSVP's back by early September really won't I

I'll get my invites out in may or June then I think, some people I'm hoping can't come (you know the kinda people you wouldn't invite but can't invite 1 without another) arghhh :-(

Thank you for your help girls xxx

Ps poulon bride, aren't you the same day as me Hun? Xx

I would send them now!!! I would expect an RSVP no later than 8 weeks before, so that you have time to chase people up before the venue want final numbers (mine venue wants 4-6 weeks notice).

I'm going to have to send mine out 6 months before because we have family everywhere and they will need to book accomodation, dont know if yours would be the same too? But 6 weeks is way too late! You also need time to be able to invite others if quite a few people cant make it, especially if your venue has a minimum number policy xxxx

I'll be looking to get them out quick sharpish then I think. Family and our close friends obviously already know the date and booked time off and booked their room in the hotel lol.

Gotta give our final numbers 2 weeks before so not bad!

Hehe I haven't ordered mine yet, my bro is making evening invites, he is very creative and is going to add a pic of us to them to personalise them.

Yep very real now, got the venue, seat covers, photographer, flowers, cake, my dress and flower girl dress sorted. Need to sort a few more things this week before I start my new job on thurs.

    You all organised Hun? Xxx

I've ordered mine and been told they should be here within the next month, as soon as they arrive i'll be looking at writing them and sending them out so roughly end March/beg April. Getting married September but we've set RSVP date for end of July! Our guests have a choice of menu and if we get any regrets and we choose to invite others we still need time to get all the orders/numbers finalised and to our venue at the very latest 2 weeks before. Also not hoping i will need to chase anyone up for outstanding RSVPs but just incase, i'd hate to be stressing about it any closer to the wedding!!

Your mum needs to take a leaf out of my mum's books! She's been telling me to get them sent out the sooner...the better. She's been asking me for a little while if they've been ordered or not. I was worried about sending them out TOO early so hopefully now we've got a happy medium :0)

I agree with the others - send as early as possible then it gives plenty of time to get the rsvps back without getting stressed too close to the wedding x

We are planning to get wed on a Friday so will be sending save the dates between 12-18 months before then invites about 6 months before - gives people the notice to book time off work if needed x
