    Hi everyone,

    Does anyone know of any good online companies that design and print good quality wedding invitations at a reasonable price?
    I read about a company in a magazine that look fantastic, so I have just recieved a quote and for 10 save the dates and 10 invites the total price is..... wait for it.......£530!!!! Seems to me once you mention the word 'wedding' companies and an extra 0 onto the price!!! x

    a friend of mine used pure invitation hers were lovely i think it worked out as 60p per invite, they didnt do save the date. you design it online then they print it all for you and you just have to make them up if you have diamontes or something We were going to use them but are now making our own as we have come up with a nice idea and would be too expensive to get printers to do it. they can send you a sample too before you order.

    Vista print is a nice and cheap one babe or theres xoxo. think ive got the links for both if you want them. Most of the girls on here are making there own as works out ALOT cheaper. My 10 year old is making mine :-) hopefully when she fianally picks a design :-(

    im having mine designed and made by a woman who was at a wedding fair, she started making invitations/ favour boxes etc when she was planning her own wededing and realised how much it all cost! iv got some pics on my profile of some of the ideas she came up with for me if you want to have a peek? if you want her contact details, let me know. she can work around a budget and she can make just about anything!!

    Have you considered any local printers you have near you. My dad is a printer and would smash all these big companies prices. All the small printers are going bust coz these big companies take all the business away from them, I say support the local printers if u have any near you, Im sure they would be much cheaper.

    i'm making my own invites, to buy 200 blank cards, envelopes, embossed stickers and heart die cuts it works out about £75.00... then we just print what we need on paper and put them all together... :)

    im making mine too as we are having a small cosy wedding :-) Im actually getting my twin cousins who are 11 to make them, well help me! They will be my bridesmaids and wanted to include them in the wedding somehow (think they might be tad to young for the hen night!!) and this is something they will really enjoy!

    Can't wait to make them, got a while off yet but ive already asked them and they said yes. Gonna have a girly night in, with my chief bridesmaid, mum and aunty too and eat cakes, drink special fizzy cocktails and sing a long to a girly cd!

    try some DIY, ribbon, cards and accesories are all very cheap from ebay and you can print the inserts on your own home computer. x

    Help! I really want to make my own invites but am not very artistic at all!! How easy/difficult has anyone else found them to make? Also am having difficulties coming up with ideas that are a bit different from all the ready done ones. Does anyone have anywhere good they got inspiration from?? :-)

    I ammaking ours went to hobbycraft during there 40% sale last week and got 100 blank cards 5 sheets of pearlised purple paper 5 sheets of silver paper a butterfly stamp a nice silver pen(to write the names in) i bought a printer (didnt have one) and it all came to 62.99 I didnt have the money to spend loads. Look in my photos and you can have a look at my save the dates.

    i am making my own invites getting the paper from a local papermill which works out really cheap and then getting other bits for invites from ebay and hobby craft etc. xxx

    Wedding invites are now purchased! Just got some plain ones from Paperchase and have been to Hobbycraft to get some customising essentials!! fingers crossed I dont end up with glitter glue and smudges of stamp ink everywhere....xx
