Hi, Im getting married in December and will be sending my invites out within the next few weeks. This is because none of my family live here and some abroad so all of them will have to travel / book accomodation so want to give them plenty of notice. :)

I'd say soonish depending if all your guests are local? My invites for the day will go out 6months before as we have a lot of ppl travelling Evening invites will go out a few months before x

You are probably looking to send them out at least 3-5 months before the wedding. People have to take time off work and plan things around. Especially if someone is coming from abroad then flights have to bee booked asap. Good luck
We're getting married in October and we're hoping to order the invites this weekend to send out in March. Our date is on a Thursday so want to give everyone as much notice as possible without the expense of also sending out STDs. Hopefully it means we won't have to chase any RSVPs around the time we need to confirm numbers with the venue.

Hi we're getting married in September too,same as you.... We are sending our day invites out in march with an RSVP of 14th June, then going to send the evening ones out about a month later,April time x

Ive been told 6 weeks before the wedding, but ours is on a Friday, so people will need to book time of work plus we have guest from abroad, who will need to make arrangements, so I am sending the invites out in the next couple of weeks. Just need to make them first.

We got married in May, the invitations were sent out in early February. All the guests had a save the date 14 months before the wedding though x

I sent mine out 12ish weeks before our venue needs to know the day numbers 4 weeks before and evening numbers 2 weeks before so I just worked round that RSVPs are to be in 6 weeks before to give time for late ones

My famy ate useless so sending my intives out 6 months before with rsvps due by 3 months before
Met June 2009 on my Birthday,Met again July 2009 and got
together, May 2010 Moved in,Jan 2011 got pregnant,
August 2011 Got our own place, 2011 Had our Baby Girl,
Dec 2011 Got engaged, July 2015 Getting married! Yay!

I think its better to send them out a few months before as you'll no doubt end up chasing numbers.
We're getting married in August and planning on sending save the dates this August, invites for the day early in the new year and then evening a few months after that?
Still haven't decided whether to send save the dates for evening or not (if we do we'll make it very clear its a save the evening)

We are getting married next august stds will be going out this August and the day invites will go out in March (My cousin is getting married in May)
I did think about sending out stds for the evening invitees but IF people cant make the day I wouldn't then be able to invites the evening list to the day as it might seem cheeky.

I think it's traditional to send your invites out about 8 weeks before your wedding date. Lots of my friends have recommended Save the Date cards too. Think you send them out about 6 months before your wedding.

Getting married in june, sent std's out in july last year. Invites went out end of feb this year, with an rsvp of 30th april
