I would like some help please on choosing Wedding Insurance. Can anyone give any tips or recommendations please?
We need approx. £18-20k cancellation cover as a general guide to what we require.
My partner has recently diagnosed Type 2 diabetes and some policies are saying illness related to a pre existing conditions will not be covered in terms of cancellation of the wedding. I cant see it even being a problem but you never know ! Are there any that do cover pre existing medical conditions just in case does anyone know?
We need general advice on which policy to choose too.
Any help or suggestions of a good insurer would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

I'm not going to be much help but all I can suggest is phoning as many companies as possible and explaining the situation. You may find a company that is willing to cover pre existing illnesses for a little more. Hope you find a suitable one :)

We took ours out through D3b3nh@ms.. not sure about the pre-existing conditions but you can view the policy schedule/wording online before you take out the cover so it should explain. If not you can always phone/email and speak to an advisor.

We paid £39 for ours, got a £10 giftcard and I also received a further £10 cashback through t0pc@shb@ck.. so only cost me £19 in the end x

When should we buy the wedding insurance? Will it include the engagement ring cover?

Most policies will cover deposits paid for up to 2 years before the wedding date.. so anytime within this time frame would be best to take it out.

Not sure about the engagement ring cover, I'd say probably not.. might be covered under your home insurance policy though?

I got j0hn l3w1s insurance last august as i get married july next year. The big thing that made me choose was an insurer who covered the deposits that i had already paid as I had booked all of my big things already. Ask the questions and see if they can cover but generally insurance wont cover any ocndition known at the time the policy was taken out xx
