You're best searching the web as some insurance companies cover more than others for a cheaper price. Check out the comparison websites but do check the individual website too.

Hi, I'm in the same situation, can't book till September. I have looked around and most companies seem to be roughly the same price give or take a few £s. I didn't realise though until i read on here that most companies will guarantee deposits that have already been paid as long as its under a certain amount :)

I'm having a marquee and most companies offer added cover for these. I've got to have a proper read through the policies to see which ones best. I know a couple of people getting married and neither one have got insurance. I'm not sure I'm that brave, its a lot of money to put on the line for the sake of £50!

Can you get it after you've started plannoing? I don't envisage having to change the date or anything, and haven't booked much where I've had to put money down... dress and cars and cosmetic stuff is the only stuff at this time.. The venue we got for free and we haven't set stuff in stone with the caterer... our wedding is 31 May 2014...

If you go on m0ney sup3rmark3t website, they do a comparison and offer discounts for taking it out through their site.. Thats what we're doing.. We are also taking it out to cover 2weeks after the wedding as they cover gifts/money too incase anything goes missing/ gets broken afterwards xxx

I found a site that let me customise bits. Alter the cover between things. Like a bigger cover for dress less on cars etc it also covered presents for 2weeks after which as we getting married away from home was usefull.

I found it on a wedding comparrison site xx
