I just got my wedding insurance though a website i found on google and you can do your own tailormade insurance, which is what we did. Got a great deal at £29.
If you want the details i will give them to you.

We chose a Company I found on the net - link on my wall. It cost £53.99 but the levels were 2nd from top and there are cheaper cover levels if you want them, plus we needed the 'top up' of 2m public liability as our venue insisted we had it. Documents were e-mailed immediately. The usual insurance search engines did wedding insurance comparison, I googled 'wedding insurance comparison' and loads came up, the one we went for came top in the areas we wanted.

We got ours pretty much straight away... You could get to the end of the day and think "well nothing went wrong so we didnt need it" but.. you could get there and something has gone wrong and then you'll think "so glad we got the insurance".
I say better safe than sorry and when it comes to weddings things tend to be veeeery expensive.

I went through E & L and got my policy via email, seems pretty good and only cost me £19.50! Well impressed! And they cover from 2 years before the wedding date which is excellent if you make early deposits and bookings because they are covered.

Had a look at E &L they seem good, plus its a bonus I can get it this June not having to wait till a year away, as some places only give you cover from 1 year. x

Kimi - it's like any insurance. You need it if something goes wrong. It can cover you if the venue burns down, or if a supplier goes bust etc. If nothing goes wrong, you won't use it at all. But on the plus side - nothing's gone wrong :D

Someone on here said that the way she sees it, you don't need it if you can afford to lose your deposits. If you can't afford to lose your deposits, then you probably need wedding insurance :)
