Hello, everyone. I need some help with some wedding ideas and where to begin so I ask you all if you can help me please. I want my wedding day to be perfect. Me and my H2B has already got a venue and reception in mind but that's all we know. I'm stuck on the dresses for me, bridesmaids and my mother, I don't know which would be the best shop or anything. Also stuck on whether to have artificial flowers or real flowers. Help me please. I need help with every little details so I will be happy to see what ideas you got to share that me and my H2B could use for our special day

    hi Joanna -

I'd start by putting together the types of dresses you like into a board P1n 1nterest or something similar. Try as many different styles on as you can as you may surprise yourself and end up with something completely different. Don't fret about the bridesmaids until you've sorted your dress as that will fall into place afterwards.
Depends on your budget re artificial v real. I've not got as far as sorting flowers yet, but you can get some authentic artificial ones that look real, alternatively buttons and brooches are quite popular as bridal bouquet.

Hello, Lindsey. Thank you for responding. I will be going to have a look at my wedding dress with my mother and my bridesmaids then getting the bridesmaids dresses afterwards but what shade of colour do you think would go with light multi-coloured theme like pink, blue, purple, red etc. I've been talking to my H2B to have artificial flowers which looks real but I don't know where we could get some

    Hi Joanne!

I'm having real flowers. I had artificial flowers for my first wedding and although they were lovely, it was the same as being surrounded by real flowers.

I'm having my bridesmaids in different colours like this...

LadyC- I'm thinking of having artificial flowers so that way I can keep that after the wedding and use them as a centre piece of my dinner table so it would be something gorgeous and have memories with. Also because me and mt H2B are thinking of having the colours: pink, blue, red and purple for our colour theme then what I'm thinking is because i've only got about three bridesmaids to have them to wearing dresses with the colours: pink, blue and red, and have our little pageboy have a blue outfit

    hey...
artificial flower will be easy for you.. but more expensive..
and you can search the dress online... really buy the dress.. or search the idea and make it real by tailor

    Hi Joanne,

Regarding the wedding dress just try on lots of different styles. All depends on your budget. I got my from a Bridal sale tried on about 10 dresses and ended up buy the second one I tried :) you will no when its the one.

I brought artifical flowers from eb@y and they turned out better than I expected. She was quite reasonble think i paid £144 for bridal teardrop, 2 bridesmaids, 6 double button holes, 2 single, 1 page boy button hole.

The bridesmaid dresses are the last thing I need to sort we are hitting the NEC wedding show on saturday and having a look from there. I wanted to by from China but my maid of honour refused lol since she wants to buy her own dress she would prefer to try first (her choice to pay I offered)

Eb@y will be your new best friend I have spent ages on there. Just take some time and think of what you want and decide on a colour scheme. We are having purple & white. (purple being my favourite colour)

    Good luck xx

    Hi Baker2Be,

The flowers look great, I am currently considering artificial options, are you able to give me the name of the seller? Maybe post on my page?

    Thank you.

Those flowers are gorgeous. I'm looking for a small bouquet of roses with the colours: red, pink and purple with maybe a blue ribbon or butterflies.

Regarding to my wedding dress, I'm hopefully going to find the one when I go to try different dresses on Tuesday 13th October at the Wedding House in Walsall. I've found one purple dress that I fell in love with for my maid of honour. Just need to find one other pink dress and a nice red suit (tomboy) for my bridesmaids.

Our colour theme is pink, blue, red and purple because they are mine and my H2B's favourite colours.
